When people accept abortion, this case is what it reminds me of.

This woman still grieves. She got rid of 5 kids. Why not allow her to keep her choice until kids are deemed adults? I mean it was her body, right? And we mean by her body, her children, correct? I know some of you recall this case. Some of you never heard of her. I introduce you to a champion of abortion.

You can do better than this. I The holes in this 'reasoning' are cavernous. First problem is that you evidently don't know what happens in childbirth. the second problem is that you don't understand what verb tense reflects.

You cannot equate foetuses with children. Fully 50% don't even make it through the first trimester either the egg does not implant or the zygote / foetus miscarries. Had my mother aborted me I would hardly be in any state to comment but medically-safe abortion is a woman's right if she wishes to make use of it; no-one wants to return to the days of back-street abortions.

Factually America spent longer with illegal abortion than with legal abortions. It could be changed by the proper laws.

 

Well at least I get where you are trying to go with this. I can definitely respect a pro-life position if it comes with a traditionally liberal commitment to support social services and a safety net for that family and especially the child. It makes no sense to care about the health and welfare of that fetus until it might require some tax dollars to keep it healthy and safe and then talk about slashing the programs designed to give that baby/child the nutrition, a warm home and access to a doctor that poverty may deny it. A good way to stop many abortions is to give the mother a real sense that there is hope for her and the baby . She needs some solutions that do not depend solely on a lot of luck and the fickle relationships or fortunes of her family or friends. We have to deal with the very real and pragmatic problems that this girl or woman sees in front of her and this baby or fear, not hope, will guide this decision.

 

WOW, next I will be told to support the executed convicts family once he or she is executed.

There are hundreds of thousands of convicts that i don't read the Democrats expecting us to pay the upkeep of the convicts family. Wonder why not?

 

We have income threshholds that determine access to these programs and that access is not dependent on who's a relative of a convict or not. Geez. And I support a right of a woman to determine what she wants to do with her uterus. Government has better things to do than interfere with the personal medical decisions of women. Any true conservative would insist that government stay out of her business. Its her call to make and busybody government needs to take a hike. Its the fake ones like you that need to be corralled and branded as such.
