I was stationed in Bad Kissingen for 3 years and a year after I left I found my butt In Aschaffenburg . loved my time there I want to go to NZ and Aus.

The Schwartzwalde (Black Forest) was the Canadian occupation area. Unlike US military PX's which carried mainly US goods, Canadian PX's carries local goods at discount prices, so we visited often.
/never knew it , and I was there twice here is some old time pics of Maine 14 Historical Photos That Tell Maine’s Story | Down East Magazine
As a native New Yorker that has lived in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania (both Pittsburgh and Philly), Delaware, Virginia (3x), and more due to the military and the defense industry, I believe you have to move a lot further away from the northern/blue crazies than simply changing neighborhoods. Changing time zones is more like it. My latest (and hopefully last) move was from Mexifornia to Texas. I finally feel safe here where CRT is outlawed, Constitutional Carry is the rule (open or concealed carry for all legal gun owners without permits or registration), no federal regulation of gun "suppressors" built here in Texas either, China Virus mandates are ignored, masks are rare, businesses thrive, schoolkids thrive, our border, abandoned by DC, is protected by Texas forces, there are no crippling income taxes as in blue states (no income taxes at all here). We also make our own beef, oil and more here so we're not dependent on "supply chains" like the blue states. We'll be partying hearty over the holidays as blue states discourage family gatherings and our kids will be headed to becoming doctors and astronauts as northern kids, still struggling with China Virus rules, keep on trying to read and write. YAY TEXAS!
I moved to the Land of the Iceni aged 11 and apart from a short time in London I've been here ever since. It's beautiful countryside with miles of lovely coastline, the Norfolk Broads, low crime rates and none of those inconvenient hills to wear out your clutch and brakes.
What I would like to add: I live in the federal German state of Baden-Württemberg. A combination of the former Kingdom of Württemberg and the Grand Duchy of Baden. Here is the hymn of my home country
So there are 2 votes for Canada now so far. Canada in German is Kanada, by the way. I always must take great care to start with a C instead of a K when writing in English
Before moving to Suffolk I was in Dusseldorf for three years (my father was a radar technician working for the British Army). I have very fond memories of camping trips to a little town called Limburg an der Lahn and the art festival at Bad Münstereifel. I was very saddened to see Bad Münstereifel on the news recently after suffering terrible damage from flooding. I also got to meet Neandertal Man (or what was left of him) on a school trip.
