    I stayed in the aircraft.

Aircrew pay is higher than jump pay.

The largest para airborne assault during the Vietnam War was Operation Junction City.
Before my time, I was a junior in high school when it took place in Feb / March of 67.

The Army paratroopers were used as one of the three blocking forces.

Picture a U The left and right of the U were blocking forces of light infantry that were deployed by helicopters and the bottom of the U was the third blocking force where Army 173rd Air Borne Brig. paratroopers landed. At the opening of the top of the U is where the main assault of mechanized infantry came from.

Inside of the U was the 9th "main force" VC Division.
Charley was trapped with no where to go.

    C-130's were used.

Never jumped in the military, was never in it.

No idea what type of plane it was I did jump from, whatever they usually use to take people up I guess.
