White author won't translate Amanda Gorman's works after criticism it was inappropriate

And now Gorman has her red badge of courage. She claims she was followed by a security guard. It's like if you haven't ever been looked at by a security guard you aren't black enough something must be wrong.

The Harvard-educated Gorman, who won wide acclaim with her inauguration poem urging the nation to confront the injustices of the past and work to create a better future, says she was tailed by a security guard on her walk home.

Gorman, who lives in Los Angeles, wrote on Twitter that as she approached her building, the guard demanded to know if she lived there. "You look suspicious," he allegedly said.

"I showed my keys & buzzed myself into my building," the 22-year-old Gorman wrote. "He left, no apology. This is the reality of black girls: One day you're called an icon, the next day, a threat."

And there is link after link after link after link after link proclaiming this horrible racist act. But not one seemed to manage to try and contact the security agency and inquire as to what really happened like maybe a security guard doing their job seeing a young woman at night walking home and making sure she got there alright? How can all these reporters claim to know WHAT the security guard thought?

DEMANDED she says, like how did DEMAND. I bet it is in the rules of her building to which she agreed that if security asks to see you key you show it. And like white people have NEVER been approached by security. How does she not know that there may have been reports of break ins and security was checking everyone they noticed? Why is it just assumed the guard is racist and a white supremist and an oppressor of young black women.

 

I heard the security guard was wearing a MAGA hat and carrying a noose in his pocket.
