Now that depends upon whether you want your president to look like a harmless pen-pushing civil servant- which I do- or a bumptious war-lord- which I don't.
BUT- Trump , for all his trumpeting, hasn't actually done any irredeemable damage as yet. His most dangerous moment will come if he decides to move the Embassy of the United States of America from Tel Aviv- in Israel- to the illegally occupied territory of Jerusalem. That will be the Don's final defining moment. All Americans will become accessories instantaneously.

 

They do not have to lie to report unproven allegations in such a way as to lead someone into believing a crime happened the way their bias wants it to have happened.

They can insert phases like, “buyer’s remorse,” like in MSNBC the other day, when in any story where Russia appears upset with Trump, and their message is clear.

They can claim that Islam is perverted by groups like Al Quacka (ISIS), as Hannity did on the Foxy Blonde Legs Channel last night, when it is a matter of perspective, maybe they are closer to the real Islam than the “moderates.”

One can report and then question, but it depends upon what one means by containment as to whether or not it is a lie:

What, does Trump think he can somehow keep the news from getting out by not letting the reporters in? All he's done is made it more obvious that anyone even listening to, let alone believing, his lapdogs is a total and utter fool.

 

A dictator happens after an election, or a coup is staged and he enters into power. Who runs for office telling his voters he will be a dictator and this is the last vote they will ever have?

There are different kinds of nationalism, the hitler/Nazi variety where it is tied to race, a superior race, etc. But looking out for your own citizens first, as you look out for your family, your town, your state, your nation is now equated with the Nazi nationalism, or like someone who is pissing on your leg while telling you it is raining. In other words, intentional deception and lying, in order to get people to agree with competing with slave wages. So compete with slave wages or you are a nationalist!! It is nonsense and you know it.

 

Donald Trump does not get to decide what is "fair and honest" coverage of what he does as president.

Personally, I think they HAVE been covering him fairly and honestly...WHICH IS WHAT HE ABHORS.

Looking back through history the first steps communist and fascist take are to control media and education. This has already been accomplished by the left in America and Trump is fighting back.

 

Most Trump supporters are "Nationalists", they don't believe that America ought to be a Republic, but a sort of Oligarchy, only "real" Americans should have any say here.

These people are clearly more attached to the physical land of America than to any ideals that supposedly define us. Look at how enamored they seem to be of the idea that empty spaces without people in them should have more "voice" in saying who our President should be than actually existing people

 

The White House Correspondents Agency rallied around CNN the NY Times and Politico and expressed their displeasure over this action. The same agency rallied around Fox News in 2009 when Obama banned Fox from attending a similar briefing.

 

YOU and the President do not get to decide what is fake....the people and the media decide on this. In fact, this "Fake News" tactic is the perfect example of propaganda "fake news" and the scary thing is our population is falling for it.

 

Not the majority of our population...but enough are falling for it to be an existential threat to the Repubic, Tecoyah.

How on Earth did we allow this to happen to us?

CNN is about getting Trump not about honest reporting and Trump's dismissal of them is appropriate and appreciated

 

The real problem is that the CNN sided with one presidential candidate against the other and completely lost the credibility in the process. That's not objective journalism.
