The White House put out a shoddy research paper (which should really be called propaganda) which casts a bad light on socialism. Listen, Pause, and Reflect on the video in the link below in which Professor Richard Wolff sounds off on the desperation of the Trump administration's effort to combat socialist principles and values.

Yes, forbid this country from ever making education, healthcare, and workplace apprenticeships more accessible to the common man or woman.

Let us forbid common people and the majority from crawling out of poverty, no we can't have that.

The good impoverished tax cattle need to remain in their place so they can fund the military or the MIC instead.

Should panic over the popularity of it especially in an economy that's already 21 trillion in debt operating under a very split volatile two party system of actors that refuse to work together. Those that keep growing government and spending whatever money is left in the till to buy votes from illegals draining the economy supporting them with entitlement programs all on the backs of the American taxpayer. In other words socialism. So instead of paying the debt we already have down, we should increase it another 34 trillion paying for Medicare for everyone? This while keeping the borders wide open and not doing any type of immigration reform? How will that work exactly? We might as well put a mile long neon sign on the border welcoming everyone from planet earth in. It doesn't take a genious IQ, math major, or a slew of economic courses to figure out that would completely bankrupt the country.

NEWSFLASH: Just because I love and dream of owning a Lamborghini it doesn't mean it should magically appear in my driveway. Nor should anyone believe just because we want the world to live in harmony all holding hands swimming in wealth singing kumbaya, it will happen either This is not the land of OZ...we need to get real and realize we can't take in the entire world and socialism only works in some make believe utopian existence or movies ..not in the US on planet earth.

Give any thought about who will pay for all that? All sounds great until you actually think it out and crunch the numbers. And don't think uncle Sam can, not when already 21 trillion in debt.

The republicans impoverish the nation with military spending, tax cuts, and stealing of future generations via various government programs mostly creating socialism for the very wealthy only.

The democrats impoverish the nation through job outsourcing and importing foreign workers through open borders creating socialism for the very wealthy only.

I've said it repetitively and I'll say it again, I really hate both political parties.

We're beyond political, social, or economic reforms. That ship set sail in the 1970's where it is never coming back again.

I am merely waiting for this house of cards to burn.

We're a mixed economy, which isn't such a bad thing. How about we just focus on fine tuning things instead of going full retard?

strive to rear children who will mature into responsible, productive adults who feel good about providing for themselves and their own families....

or you'll wind up with communists sitting around your Thanksgiving table.

No we're not, what little bit of social public welfare that exists in this country merely exists to keep the peasants or serfs from rioting in the streets.

A well fed and housed peasant is an obedient one less prone to rebellion.

That requires all of your jobs, manufacturing, and industry not being outsourced to foreign nations or to a domestic prison labor force.

If I wanted to see human feces in the streets I would go a lot more closer to home like San Francisco, Seattle, Portland,Chicago, or Los Angeles.

I also hear the tent cities of Washington D.C. are lovely this time of year.

I am only voting republican not because I am a republican myself but because I am not enthusiastic about foreign immigration, that certainly doesn't mean however that I like republican economic policies.

Well for one, it isn't an oligarchy, plutocracy, or kleptocracy like the current United States is.

Don't you think that's a bit dramatic? Sure, you can point to examples of those things, but it's not the totality of things. You also should keep in mind that some humans are corrupt, they gravitate towards power, governmental systems offer that power. We're human, we're incapable of creating a perfect system devoid of corruption. What we have in the U.S. isn't perfect, but it's much better than many other systems.

There would be more money to spend in this country domestically if the United States didn't care more about military imperialism overseas than it does its own citizens.

Libertarians and conservatives will constant say, where will the money come from while at the same time they have no problem handing a check to the military for endless billions of dollars.

I'm all for the above but you'll have to do two things: End birthright citizenship & bring all immigration to a standstill.

On the contrary, the Trump administration is reviewing loan programs to make vocational school cheaper.

    Bravo!

It's not the totality of things? Oh really? So the 2007-2008 corporate or bank bailouts never happened then?

What we have in the United States is a sick, disgusting, and extremely decadent system.

If nothing is done about wages in this country that's pretty much a useless gesture.

Also, a majority of jobs added in this country are still temp, part time, or low income.
