Beg to differ, "spike" is a smart little bugga! I think the flash startled him. He is a good boy! Loves his kitty! Hates every other animal!

Your link to the picture doesn't work.

If you ever have the privilege of owning a border collie you will change your mind.

They are special dogs, but I’m a bit biased—we have a bunch of them. Couldn’t run our business without them. Wouldn’t want to live without them.

Is he multi-lingual too? I mean, if you were Polish would he still understand you?

Yes, but you'd be thinking in Polish too? Or on the other hand perhaps all foreigners think in English. Hmm, I'll get back to you on that!

He reads body language too. The language would not be an issue with that.

Wow, is there no end to all his talents? Get him on-stage and you could have a gold mine there. :p

I want one! Do I though? After seeing what the loss of his did to our park ranger, I wonder if it's worth the pain.

Watching him make short work of some of the anti-gay posters here is a treat to watch

    @Cubed

Is pretty swell. I think we see eye to eye on quite a few things.

@Antiduopolist as well. I like his style.

They really are worth the pain, I had one that someone threw away. He was such a delight after he passed I wanted another just like him. The first one was sure he could talk I would tell him to go get my husband and let us go for a ride. He would go and start trying to talk. Much like the one on this you tube.

Another border collie lover. No dog can compete with them for intelligence or loyalty.
    You have a beautiful dog.

Thanks! Yeah, they’re an amazing breed. He just figured out how to open doors around our place. Thank goodness he doesn’t have the manual dexterity to actually unlock them. No telling what schenanigans he’d get into.

Oh, no doubt. I think he tried his best on that one. Turned out to be rear dew claws instead. :)

I guess it is . . . a kind of trade-off for the past joy of ownership and devotion?

Yep. Border collies are very smart, almost as smart as corgi. They are, after all, related :)

One of the posters whom I’ve deeply respected even though we’ve always clashed, had his sig saying “the more people I meet, the more I miss my dog”. Sadly, he’s no longer with us.

Dogs are not phonies, what you see is generally what you get. Even people you clash with can be very wise at times, especially dog lovers.
