My guess is President Trump will name a woman to replace Ruth Bader Ginsburg. I think she will have to be a young woman to avoid what happened to Kavanaugh. Of those on the list these are the 4 of the youngest women on the list all under 50 years of age. Which one do you think he will choose or will he go another direction? Here is the complete list according to Wikipedia:

Ultimately, who ever he chooses, regardless the smear machine will be in gear.

I really don't know enough about them to pick but if I were Trump I'd definitely pick a woman so the DNC can't 'Kavanagh' her and the least controversial so they can't delay. And young so she has a lasting legacy.

I don't think nominating a woman would stop dems from trashing the nominee but the dems will look ridiculous doing it. Remember this:

He should not pick anyone unless he is reelected.

There, the vacancy remains open until Bubba becomes a bachelor. The vacancy will outlive her.

That would be a start. It should be someone who DOESN'T believe that the U.S. Constitution is an outdated document that would not be good for a newly formed nation to utilize as their founding document. Or in otherwords, anyone who's NOT a RBG clone. To this day I have never encountered a leftist willing to say that sacred and holy Saint Ginsburg was wrong about that declaration; which says a huge amount about the nature of what leftists learn nowadays in school.

Dude, any one not a far left loon is by definition controversial as far as the Democrats are concerned.

Trump shouldn't get to pick anyone to replace Justice Ginsburg. It is too close to the election.

I am sorry he took an oath to uphold the US Constitution and it clearly states he has a duty to nominate someone. Then it flips to the Senate who has to confirm and consent....they might not like his pick, but the President certainly has a duty to nominate someone.

I selected Barrett for lack of having a strong opinion on "other" I assume the short list has been called and asked "can you handle the **** show if you are named?"

I would suggest putting in someone who is not a lawyer. Choose someone with common sense whose opinion is not constrained by legal precedent.

He should wait until the election results and if he wins, then announce his nominee. As for who it should be, I don't know or really care. If he wins he will be replacing a couple more justices before it is over most likely so the Court will be going to the right regardless. of who this one is.
