I really do not understand why beauty is such a sensitive topic - Some people are born with it, others are not. I am an ugly person and, honestly, I do not care. It is not like I am responsible for how I look.
I get both positive and negative comments on my appearance. My contribution to beauty in the world is not my appearance but my poetry.
I'm not sensitive about it at all. I just see things in a more expansive way. I'm not sure why you're so dead-set on trying get others to admit they think the same way you do. I don't...and I'm not unhappy about that.
So you don't want people to attack you for how you look. Fair enough. However I've seen reverse discrimination, in which women who are attractive are attacked for being attractive by other women. Many of the women who do this claim that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but their behavior refutes that claim. If it really was in the eye then they would be attacking everyone; instead they only attack the attractive. So clearly we are seeing here a massive dishonesty.
It is not shallow to enjoy beauty. It is shallow if physical beauty is the only thing you judge a woman by.
In my course there are three types of prejudice....the one we acknowledge, the one we sanction and the one you have which is unacknowledged.. the fact that you always see women attacking pretty women is so ridiculous and so sexist. Yeah women only attack women, not men lol......you don’t even realize how sexist you are.
This is irresponsible behavior. It is like black people in the inner city attacking white city liberals because they are white, accusing them of being racist when they aren't. What they will end up doing is make asses of themselves and lose the people who are allied with them, then they will be dealing with people who are racists for real. People who are actually sexist wouldn't mind being called sexist. They would say that God has meant that women be subservient to men. I may not be everything you want me to be, but I am a lot closer to your agenda than these people. Put things into perspective and deal with it based on what actually is the case.
I lived and worked in inner-city Brooklyn New York and black people were not attacking white liberals. Please don’t make up false stories
I have a friend in DC who runs a market stall at the Eastern Market, and she had a lot to say about black people attacking her for being white. This woman has no ill will toward black people; she has good will toward black people. The more these people make asses of themselves the more becomes the case of people who are racists for real. This is the case also with feminists.

It's a sensitive subject for women Because they have to attract a mate. However women that are 3s 4s and 5s can use more than their looks. I think 8s and 9s should really learn to develop that too. Because you can be beautiful and dull. To put it simply a lot of women find their self worth tired to beauty through no fault of their own.
Everybody is judged on their looks all the time by everybody else. Now the extent at which you can put those judgements aside is where the conversation is. But expecting a person not to make judgements based on appearance is not reasonable.
I see beauty and attractivness as two different things. A beautiful person can be repulsive to me...like Paris Hilton. Her personality is just yuch. A non beautiful person can be attractive, like Ruth Buzzi when she's out of the get up and fixes her make up and hair. Some people are beautiful with beautiful personalities. Born with good assets is not a bad thing for sure. Ask any 7 ft multi million basket player. Things change as far as standards...plumpness used to be a beauty standard for women and for many guys still is. But the basic large eyes, plump lips and symmetry standards are still a foundation of physical beauty.
You don’t think men need to attract a mate? You don’t think a good-looking man has it easier? But men usually attract women by their accomplishments and now more and more women are doing that. An educated and successful woman is very sexy
I did something in my prejudice workshop and the same thing happens every year. We talk about all the different prejudices and who is more valued generally..race./white..gender ;male, class/upper sexual orientation/ hetero etc. When I say looks they will say slim, big boobs etc. they do not describe a male.Once I make them aware of that they will but it just shows how looks are mostly attributed to women’s worth.
I work in sales and marketing and good looking reps of both sexes have the advantage for that first impression. It's just human nature. And I don't think successful women and big boobs mesh well in people's minds.
well Wealthy men have it easier. Hypergamy being what it is. False, it's by their wealth. No they aren't. Women are attractive based on their looks. If a dude goes out with you because you're wealthy he is a gold digger and likely not a masculine guy. To a woman perhaps.
Actually there are men who are attracted to very successful women and not threatened by them. But to you that makes him not masculine
