    That is the OLD Testament.
We now live in the time of the NEW Testament.

That is what Paul said, who hated women.
What did Jesus say on that topic?

There are many female only spaces and institutions in the world. Apart from the fact that these are now being infiltrated by the latest iteration of raging misogynists (transgenders), do you think these should be disbanded along with the Popey business?

Ah so. The standard Old Covenant, New Covenant cliché.

This is what the NEW Testament says.

For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. - Jesus

So why do you think the Old Testament no longer applies when Jesus said otherwise?

Churches in the first two centuries after the Book of Acts took place in homes.......
the Roman Catholic Hierarchy noticed that women had a great deal of power within their own homes so.......

.... they knew that they needed a celibate male priesthood in order to be able to control the majority of church members.

Cephas - Peter was obviously married...... so.... a married priesthood scared the Roman Catholic Popes and leaders......

Keeping power out of the hands of women explains much of the history of the Roman Catholic Church and many of her metaphorical daughters.... the Protestant churches.....

Your last sentence is the sad truth. The question is why? I believe it is because our educational system and culture does not teach, promote, or encourage critical thinking. Neither is the scientific method apparently taught to most people.

I had a discussion with some people yesterday about Christianity and it was all about feelings, convoluted arguments, claims of a personal experience, claims of what makes sense (as if a magic man living in the sky makes sense). When I ask for empirical evidence, i.e., facts, the response is always more feelings, theories, and anecdotal stories.

In general every discussion I have ever had with a believer (in including here on PF) is a variation on one of the 20 arguments addressed in this book.

Afaic a woman can totally be pope. All she has to do is get some random folks to pick her as pope. I'll respect her popeness as much as I do the current one (ftr it wont matter to me all, its just another authoritarian elitist title designed to control people, and screw that). Hell, make a female only position designated El Queso Grande de Dios and watch me (still not) care.

Um... no, not really. It's more complex than that. Some people back then had to sell their daughters as servants due to poverty.
You seem to be trying to change the topic. It would probably require a whole separate thread to discuss this.

Flinging mud on the wall and tossing out lots of off-topic allegations that each require lengthy explanations to defend against are not fair tactics in an argument.

Hopefully you realise that. Let's focus on one argument at a time, otherwise we're never going to get anywhere, are we?

Religions are collections of contradictions. The Roman Church is a religion.

I did not bring up "the Bible says." Rather I responded.
So - someone states "the Bible says so" and I respond back with an example of why I don't care what the Bible says and that is (according to you) flinging mud? The point was not to argue the Bible condoning slavery per se. The point was that the Bible condones things that are morally wrong.

RE: Why can't the Pope be a women?
SUBTOPIC: A Human interpretation of events.
    ※→ et al,

BLUF #1: Faith in a given human derivative of a supernatural doctrine is the outcome we see today; particularly in the Abrahamic Religions. But the original purpose of the Abrahamic Religious was rooted in the establishment of social control, influence, prestige, and wealth. The concept of (initially) the various deities gradually leading to a Supreme Being is an outcome of man's need to conquer fear and explain the why behind certain events.

My interpretation on the first question pertaining to the gender specific elevation of "Pope" is merely an issue of male dominance, as the original leadership status of the Pope was based on both political control and religious control. Between the third and into the early sixth century (roughly) the title was largely ceremonial and was used by many "Bishops," But in the mid-sixth century to mid-seventh century to title gradually became more and more leadership oriented - transitioning to the signal position of the Supreme Pontiff and Vicar of Christ. While many of the other christian religions have eliminated gender restrictions pertaining to the individuals consecration into the order of priests, the Vatican has yet to adopt a gender neutral position.

BLUF #2: It is hard to draw a consensus on what paleoanthropologist believed early Hominins might have looked like back 400 thousand years ago (early neanderthal). What remains that have been found of the famous “Lucy" and “Dikika" believed to be examples of Australopithecus [afarensis] (3 to 4 million years ago) might be, by todays standards "Little People." Many scholars see renditions of Lucy as "example of a pre-homo genus hominid."

The recently publish Reconstruction of a modern man found in Morocco of a 160.000 years ago is a little different from your rendition. It is simply hard to tell what Adam and Eve may have looked like. In fact, there is an discussion on the original location of the Garden of Eden (‘‘a garden in Eden’’) of Eastern Mesopotamia (Iraq) and the scientists that suggest it was located in lower Siberia.

The Pope's skirt looks girlie to me. But opinions vary. He probably wore a different outfit while working as a bouncer in Buenos Aires.

All the "Pope" has to do is identify as a woman and voila.
