He said all he had to say back then, and people wrote it down, then everything was bound into one volume and called the Bible, that's where his and Jesus's words can be found today..
Jesus said- "My words will never pass away" (Matt 24:35)

 

Personally, I think it's the invention of toast that's responsible.

No, I mean the volume of stuff God said that someone wrote down.

Come on. It's quite clear what the Bible is, and it's not what you say.

 

That is a different god. The Mormon God lives on a distant planet and the Mormon god's spokesman is the Angel Marconi or Macaroni who drives a UFO and gives guys named Smith who had been walking in the woods tablets that contain ancient Egyptian novels.

 

Novels etched in gold, no less! That's how you know they're genuine.

 

There wasn't quite as much noise pollution then and it was easier to hear him!

But my religious relatives insist that he talks just as much these days as in the old days it's just that no one listens... perhaps we're getting smarter!

 

The biblical God character was simply the series of men who ruled the dominant Middle Eastern empire in ancient times. It was a title. There has never been a celestial deity god creature in this solar system.

 

The Bible is a chronicle of human close encounters with offworld beings spanning thousands of years, great stuff, for example-
"There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown" (Genesis 6:4)

 

So where's the giants' DNA?

 

There are more people in the world today. So I think he talks more. Just most don't actually buy it anymore.
The latest revelation from God is the mormon's. But most don't even consider them christian.
Guess god dosen't carry the impact as it did 3000 yrs ago.

 

Maybe their DNA has come down through the generations to us, making todays "giants" anybody who isn't afraid to stand out from the masses..

 

There wasn't much to do back then besides stomp grapes, give people boils, and part seas. Left lots of time for talking.

If it matters - some people do believe God is talking to them and they generally find themselves in a mental hospital..

People talk of the second coming, yet given our present day society - even if the second coming did come they would be forced into a mental facility.... So I think the second coming may have been or will be surpressed with anti-psychotic drugs.

 

God talks to me all the time when I go fishing....he tells me Im not going to catch
anything....he's usually right...

 

Last time god spoke to me he said that he wasn't going to waste any more time trying to talk to those who have convinced themselves that they already know what he wants.

God said that he performs billions of abortions every year but those who have convinced themselves that they know what he wants are trying to stop women who actually need abortions from having them.

God also told me that some of his most faithful follwers are gays but those who have convinced themselves that they know what he wants want to take away the rights of gays to marry the consenting adult of their choice.

So god really doesn't see that there is any point at all in even trying to talk to those who have convinced themselves that they already know what he wants.

 

It obviously got tired of the relationship and decided not to call anymore. Probably found someone with nicer titties and a really nice a$$ somewhere.

We need to get over it and move on.

 

He's writing his memoirs:

'Got that Creation thing a bit wrong ... too much temptation ... snake was a bad choice ... got the people wrong too, always (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)ing about how things ain't perfect ... ungrateful b*******, what's a bit of cancer ... making 'em smart enough to do science was a mistake, shoulda left them in ignorance ... that idiot Noah forgot the unicorns ... s***, let's start again ...'

 

So God was quiet for the 150,000 years prior? Because homo sapiens has been around for 150,000 years or so.

In order to believe Christianity and reconcile it with science, you need to believe that Heaven watched humans fight and suffer and die for hundreds of millennia--and in complete, indifferent silence--and then, for no apparent reason a few measely thousand years ago, decided to reveal Itself.

 

I talk to God every day!! And yes, He answers!!

 

People of faith will probably tell you that their God speaks to them every day.

 

Not to mention ethereal beings, strange beasts and even alien spacecraft! You're right - it covers the gambit.
