Sure. I can guess as well as anybody else. While Trump said he didn't want a riot, he did want a demonstration and encouraged a peaceful one. How would he have done anything to stop a full fledged riot after it developed? The city police departments weren't able to stop more than 500 of them in 2020. Let's not forget. Trump thought the election was stolen so he supported a demonstration about it. You're turn to guess.

it is where he wasn't pop. he was not in the secure undisclosed location that secret service takes him when a riot that he did not incite takes place.

"In the executive dinning room, because it has multiple TV's, just off the Oval Office."" Please show us the proof he was there.

The question was Why didn’t he ask them to leave earlier? You don’t address that. I already gave an answer in the OP.

No I wasn’t agreeing with you. Your assertion is that there isn’t any other reason it COULD be other than he was pissed off and wanted it to happen to some extent. While I may agree that’s the most likely reason, the idea that it’s the ONLY reasoning he could have is ridiculous.

Furthermore it’s impossible to prove which one it was.

the committee has this answer, and will release it in the fullness of time.

meanwhile, that "just the news" article was interesting and i'll get back to you as soon as i can find the interview with kash patel (one of several trump loyalists assigned to the pentagon after trump's loss.)

    Yes?

Since I know lefties love this site I’ll source it for you

    https://www.vanityfair.com/news/202...ntagon-leadership-in-trumps-chaotic-last-week

“On the evening of January 5—the night before a white supremacist mob stormed Capitol Hill in a siege that would leave five dead—the acting secretary of defense, Christopher Miller, was at the White House with his chief of staff, Kash Patel. They were meeting with President Trump on “an Iran issue,” Miller told me. But then the conversation switched gears. The president, Miller recalled, asked how many troops the Pentagon planned to turn out the following day. “We’re like, ‘We’re going to provide any National Guard support that the District requests,’” Miller responded. “And [Trump] goes, ‘You’re going to need 10,000 people.’ No, I’m not talking bullshit. He said that. And we’re like, ‘Maybe. But you know, someone’s going to have to ask for it.’” At that point Miller remembered the president telling him, “‘You do what you need to do. You do what you need to do.’ He said, ‘You’re going to need 10,000.’ That’s what he said. Swear to God.””

"Carol Corbin (DOD) texts USCP Deputy Chief Sean Gallagher, Protective Service Bureau, to determine whether USCP is considering a request for National Guard soldiers for January 6, 2021 event,"
That is the full entry for the day in question. I may be misunderstanding how the language is being used, but it looks to me like the DoD is asking the USCP, "Are you considering asking for National Guard troops?" You could argue that the "request" in question refers to a pre-existing request made by the White House, but the reply the next day seems to suggest not:
"Gallagher replies to DOD via text that a request for National Guard support not forthcoming at this time after consultation with COP Sund." That makes no sense if "request" refers to a White House request. Also, Trump said he offered, not requested, troops.

Regardless, there is no mention of Trump or the White House. So explain to me how this validates Trump's claim of offering troops; I don't see it at all.

No see the committee is only going to release info that makes Trump look bad. They’re not going to release info of an exculpatory nature.

Lets assume for a moment that Trump was in his office alone and he’s recorded (since everything in the Oval Office is recorded by intelligence agencies) and there was a recording of him talking to himself out loud saying something to the effect of, “Damnit I offered national guard assistance days ago and preapproved it last night. Why the hell aren’t they being called in to stop this!?!?”

Do you believe if the committee found a tape like that, that they’d present it as evidence. Because I’m HIGHLY confident in saying they wouldn’t. Which makes this a complete and utter sham.

I never said it's the only possible reason - I invited alternatives. I told you why I thought all your other alternatives were bogus and you never answered. You're still free to do so.

Ya know something else that’s interesting?

Sund requested assistance and an emergency declaration THREE TIMES from the HSAA on the day of the attack and never received a response back.

Seems to me we should be asking on whose orders the HSAA refused to respond to REPEATED calls of assistance during an active incident.

THAT is what this committee should be asking. But they won’t because this committee is a fraudulent sham.

i'm sure that trump talking to himself would make the news. (I'm also sure he's the kind of guy who talks into mirrors frequently and practices his smirks.)

This is the best evidence I've seen for Trump's claim (Christopher Miller says something similar), but of course, people can lie when they are partisan. Documentary corroboration would make the case stronger.
I'm quite willing to accept Trump offered troops if that's what the evidence shows in the end. But more than one party can be negligent. Even if the democrats contributed to the chaos at the capitol, what reason can excuse Trump's apparent refusal to ask the rioters to leave until hours after the riot started?
