Yes, in a democracy that is NOT WARPED BY GERRYMANDERING AND THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE, each one of us has an equal vote to determine our political leadership![/QUOTE]

No it wont, unless there is a Great Recession 3 of our own making. The "system" will collapse like any significant recession, and poor will suffer most the consequences - because they don't get off their backsides and vote properly.

What must happen in America is this:
*First, people must understand that the two predominant requirements of any governance is to assure both Health and Education.
*Secondly, that is not at all the case at present in the US, because of some archly conservative nonsense about "free markets". The Replicant dolts have not understood that Health and Education are NOT MARKETS!
*Thirdly, there are fundamental national priorities far more important than the DoD, which is not much more than a corporate boondoggle for a very small section of our economy. In fact, the DoD-budget swallows nearly 50% of the National Discretionary Budget. And the US is the only developed nation in which that sad fact happens ...

And since you don't even understand the U.S. is not a democracy, why else should anything you post be taken seriously.

What's a democracy? Not something you've got on your brain for the moment.

    It's damn simple:
The above applies wholly to the US. You needn't warp the meaning to agree with some arcane definition you are trying to promote here ...

Because few people can do the job. It takes experience and education. Success in previous positions.

Responsibility for a Corporation and Stock Holders.

But let me ask you this, why are doctors and surgeons who are responsible for a human life now paid less than a plumber called on a weekend for the surgeries that often take 2 to 4 hours?

Thanks Obama you failed to regulate health insurance companies. They are basicly free to do what they want, cover what they want and reimburse what they want. And IMO they have become a monopoly in most States.

That's certainly not true about the doctor/plumber comparison.

    A FAR BETTER EXISTENCE!

    True enough.

Like any "sucker's game", if you don't see the manipulation then you deserve to get fleeced.

And fleeced is the nice word for what is happening as regards upper-income taxation. It's more like a rip-off - that is, very low taxation for the benefit of the already filthy rich* ...

Moreover, though taxation in the 1950s was "supposedly" above 90%, most of the rich never paid anywhere near that amount. From the Tax Foundation here:
(Click the above image to show full-size.)

Meaning, from the above, America's super-rich have never paid more than 32/45% in terms of upper-income taxation. One of the lowest rates in the world.

Look, boyz-'n-girlz, we are getting ripped-off for in terms of upper-income for the benefit of a tiny, tiny portion of the population. Never in the recent history of mankind has a nation been soooooo screwed by far too low upper-income taxation.

Yeah, yeah, I'm just "jealous". Go hang that moniker somewhere else. The stats show the truth!

With higher income taxation and lower wastage of expenditure in the DoD,
we could provide a Post-secondary Educational System at state-schools that allowed our kids (from families of insufficient income) to obtain a degree (vocational, associates, bachelors, masters, doctorate) that would allow them access to a better-job at a better-salary and a far better existence ... !

You are way, way off-base comparing the cost of apples with oranges just because both are fruit.

Read the real truth of comparative healthcare costs at this site here: Health Tracker System

Note in all five charts shown that the highest health-care costs are paid in the US compared to other comparable countries* (in terms of GDP per person) ...

*Meaning countries that have National Health Care systems where general HC-costs are paid out of tax-revenues and at remunerations far lower than in the US. Needless to say, the main reason why HC-costs are less expensive in Europe is because a European education in Healthcare does not cost an "arm and a leg" (pun intended!); since most all tertiary-level schooling in Europe is financed out of the public-purse. Meaning it is free, gratis and for nothing or nearly so!

I asked my dentist here in France a while ago how much his Dental Degree cost him.

He said it was less than $1200 a year (in school-fees only) ...

Just where were you between 2008 and 2012, when Obama was proposing a wholly funded Healthcare System and the Replicant HofR tried mightily to shoot it down?

For your edification, from here: Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act

    Excerpt:
The ACA is quite possibly the most significant enhancement of public-protection to the person in the history of the US since 1786 (the Constitution). Since then, most developed countries - including that of the European Union - have extensive National Healthcare Insurance that goes further than ACA.

The result: In general, Europeans live 4 years longer than Americans ... !

They make so much because of the introduction of the 401K in the 1970's and the subsequent cancellation of over 100,000 private company pension plans during the 1980's.CEO's,Executives and Boards of Directors took all that money they used to use funding pension plans and divvied it up amongst themselves year after year which accounted for the huge salary differences between them and rank and file employees which they continually have added to.

Destroy the economy. Replace the government with a Republic and less laws. Start over. Reset. Of course, we will all have to sacrifice all we have. Does that sound appealing? Not to me.

Whether or not it's "impartial" is irrelevant. It's their decision, in a good faith negotiation with the candidate(s), impartial or not.

So, you're suggesting that the guy who mops the floors during the overnight has as much input and responsibility as the CEO who makes final decisions on strategy and tactics of the company overall?

There doesn't need to be any law that permits it. Quite the opposite, there needs to be a law that prohibits it, which is probably Unconstitutional.

Because they're in charge. AKA, the bosses. You could make a Military comparison. A Captain has to do what a General says, whether he likes it or agrees with it or not, unless it's illegal. And Generals make a lot more money than Captains do. That's how **** works.

Their competence is how they got those jobs in the first place.

So, you're suggesting that businesses that lose money (which, frankly, is most of them, 88% fail in the first 24 months) should receive NO pay whatsoever? Be careful what you wish for.

All income equality does is make everyone equally poor and drives those who produce underground or out of the country.

Everywhere it has been tried it has failed and in many cases killed millions of people in the process.

It's called class envy, it is commonly used by corrupt politicians to pit one group against another in order to garner favor from one of the groups, it also works well to keep people fighting each other and not join together to go after the corruption that is fueling the actual problems of a society.

An offshoot of is identity politics.
