Why do so many people have babies?

I've had both. Kids take much more strength to raise than do dogs. (heck, house training alone is the big difference).

For example, Hawaii and Alaska are 2nd and 3rd in income, but have some of highest rates of unintended pregnancies.

 

That's too rough of a comparison. It really doesn't disprove what I said at all.

That said, the second article had two bullet points that back up what I said.
