    He's a conman, a flim-flam artist, a shyster, a prima donna, an idiot, and a moron.

He has no policy positions since they change even in mid-sentence. He's devoid of any real thought other than his love of junk food.

His business resume is mediocre at best, and his insecurities are blatantly obvious.

His only amazing accomplishment is becoming a political Rorschach inkblot for conservatives.

Because President Donald Trump has no merit. He is an ass. Has been ever since I first became aware of him when he owned the USFLs New Jersey Generals. Trumps only good point is that he is playing on the right team currently.

I like Trump because he uses the same language I use and he takes no crap from the MSM, the dems, or foreigners. He's a leader like I would be. What he will do for the economy this year will be historic. Just watch and see.

That's what they said about Reagan's economic policy (voodoo economics). He won 49 states in a landslide. He had the longest economic growth in history. Trump might just beat that.
No increase in wages in 8 years, 2% GDP growth for 8 years, double the national debt -- all the first time in our history. You call that decent? You want to see a great economy just keep your eyes open and pay attention.

I loved Reagan. I campaigned for Reagan. I saw Reagan as a father figure.

Trump is pure scum. BIG difference.

Any thought that trump is anything close to being another Reagan, is a sick fantasy.

    Yes.
    But we expect some politics.

Trump lies, just for the sake of lying. Daily.

If you're interested we can point out the flaws in some of that post.
Like, the debt did not double. That would be bush and reagan.
Real wage growth had pretty much stalled since the 1990s. With the clinton/republican free traded deals that sent jobs out of country.

Just some facts you probably weren't aware of. Faux watchers usually only get a fraction of the story.

Reagan increased the debt by 186% during his two terms - Obama increased the debt 78% (Source: US Treasury Dept.).
Reagan decreased unemployment from 7.1% to 5.5%. - Obama decreased the unemployment rate from 8% to 5.5%.
Reagan had a better average GDP - The Stock Market averaged a little better return under Obama.

    You were saying?

Because his personality traits are effecting the office of President. He has double the turn-over rate of any President (34%) for his staff in the first year. He has lost close to 60% of experienced State Department officials. He was too busy playing golf to even nominate an ambassador to South Korea for ten months, despite it being one of the two major hot spots in the world and our 7th largest trading partner - now they have thumbed their nose and entered into new trading agreements with China and rejected Trump's hard-line stance against North Korea. Trump has made decision after decision that has pissed off Turkey - now a major alliance is in jeopardy and Turkey is bombing US allies in Syria.

His personality is of importance to our allies and his flip-flopping, manic tendency is a factor.

How is he stupid? What evidence do you have that he is “stupid”? Because I don’t buy the idea that he is stupid. No one person goes from a low level billionaire to the leader of the free world in a year by being stupid. I don’t buy it. So please explain to me how he is stupid. Because I find your argument intellectually lazy and also not backed up by the evidence.

So why do you even care about politics then? All politicians lie it’s universal. So please come up with a better reason.

Marvellous. I've never seen such an effective pied piper before and he's still going strong, all the way to the very bottom.

I think he's an arrogant manchild who needs to stop acting like he's got something to prove. That said, I think he's taking the country in the right direction.

You’re right, after we have used up narcissism, egomania, autocrat, pathological liar, and paranoia there isn’t much to say in that regard. So let’s move on to policy with a couple of notable ones; TPP and Jerusalem.

TPP was a hard negotiated trade deal by the Obama Administration to strengthen U.S. trade position in Asia. Many observers have argued the trade deal would have served a geopolitical purpose, namely to reduce the signatories' dependence on Chinese trade and bring the signatories closer to the United States. Trump backed out of the agreement. Since then, China, not a signatory to the deal, has replaced TPP with its own trade deal, less favorable to the U.S. Australia (our strong ally) have inked separate trade deals with China that have left the U.S. out in the cold.

Trumps decision to name Jerusalem as the capital of Israel is viewed by most mid-east leaders like Egypt and Jordan as an unbelievably bone-headed move. It has removed the U.S. from further peace negotiations and removed any leverage to get our ability to influence Israel on the settlements issue. Subsequently, Middle East violence and attacks on Israel have resumed or accelerated. Terrorist organizations like ISIS and al Qaeda have embraced the move as a powerful recruiting tool.

They’re are few other examples because so few policy accomplishments have been done by Trump. Some of which include EPA, Education, State, Justice, and other Cabinet departments.

I think people just take it to a personal level. Our personal like or dislike of a president is irrelevant, what matters are the policies they enact, bills they sign, agendas they push, and how they run their administration.

Obama, for the most part, was polite, courteous, and well spoken, guarded and unemotional and robotic, but that does not make a good or bad president.

Trump, on the other hand, is brusque, wears his emotions on his sleeve, and freely speaks his mind, but that does not make a good or bad president, either.

I was neutral with Obama as a person, but despised and disagreed with just about every policy and decision Obama made as president. Obama abused his office with his executive orders to refuse enforcement of existing federal laws, and his administration will most likely go down as engaging in the most abusive, misuse of power, in US history.

I am neutral with Trump as a person, I don't like his stupid tweets, and I wish he presented a more appropriate etiquette as president, but I approve of most all of the policies and decisions that he has made as president.

So in the end, what good is a smooth talking president like Obama, who presents the image of what we imagine as presidential poise and etiquette, if he screws up everything he touches, and his administration is full of corrupt people who abuse the powers of their office?

We should Judge President Trump by his administrative failures and accomplishments, not by our personal likes of dislikes of his tweets or how we feel about his personality quirks. ;)

All politicians do not lie all the time. You can find an instance in almost any politicians life where they told an untruth but that is entirely separate from Something like Trump who just lies all the time.

No we can also judge him by the damage he does to the respect for the office of the Presidency, the damage he does to our institutions like the free press and the FBI and the Justice Dept. and the incredible damage he is doing to America's respect and standing in the world.

I don't know why you are perplexed. People like me like what he does but hate what he says. I don't like Trump but I like what he does. A lot of people feel the same way I do. The difference between me and partisans is that I don't really care what he says. What he does is important.
