What does that have to do with his not being found guilty at this point?

I didn't say you did say it wasn't a big deal. I asked you if you think it's no big deal. Hence why there is a question mark at the end of my sentence. A question mark indicates a question is being asked. I really shouldn't have to point that out. This is really basic stuff you should know at this point in your adult life. Assuming you are an adult. Maybe you're not. Who knows.

Once again, I have no idea what you are referring to.

On a completely different tack, though, I can now see why you thought I must be joking when I speculated that merely a couple of thousand deaths per year from Covid-19, in a State like Florida, would be enough for me to think business restrictions might be, or should be, considered warranted. I just found out that over 3000 people, every year, die from gun violence (including suicide) in Florida; 4000 a year, in Texas. Those are stories worthy of ongoing news coverage.

But one aspect of news is entertainment, & the gun story, or any story that doesn't change, isn't interesting enough for people to want to keep reading or hearing about it, all the time, when there's not a whole lot to say that hasn't already been said.

nothing, and the media got in trouble because the kid was a child - they should of avoided the story

reporting on children in the USA comes with risks, why most avoid it or report the bare min

If he hasn't been found guilty, then you can't say that he killed Floyd.

Except at the end of your question you said, "that is very telling about you. Not that I didn't already know." Clearly you were NOT looking for an answer! :roflol:

And the media were more than happy to talk about the kid's skin colour, weren't they?

I do remember a similar story fro a couple of years ago-- is this the same one? The MAGA hat was not a detail that had stuck in my memory, so you hadn't given enough for me to go on, to immediately dial-up this memory, which is not a prominent one, in my mind's eye. But I do remember a group of kids, seeming to mock a drum-playing, chanting, old Native American man.

You have some problem with news media, for covering this?

Do you don’t know what a question mark indicates? Pity

NATIONAL news media! You think that this story was worthy of major NATIONAL news coverage for days on end?

If you mean that it is your OPINION that he killed Floyd, then you should have made that clear.

I think it's their decision, just like it's each of our decisions as to whether or not we watch it.

If you are now going to advocate for Government regulating WHAT STORIES News agencies are allowed to cover, you have a very incongruous set of beliefs.

P.S.-- My main takeaway from that story, at the time, was how disrespectful teens can be; but I think I already knew that. To be still harping on it, this long after the fact, seems like a major over-reaction, to me.

I didn't say that it's NOT their decision.

What the hell makes you think that I am advocating that?

Are you actually trying your best to say that it was a more newsworthy story than the one in this thread?

Who is still harping on it?

It's over 3000 in California. I don't understand what point you are trying to make.

    What "gun story?"

"Everything that I have seen or heard." WOW! This is just SO telling! I shouldn't be surprised that from everything that you've seen or heard has led you to think that it's a ROCK SOLID case against Chauvin! Let me guess - you're watching CNN and/or MSNBC? Reading New York Times and/or Washington Post?

Honestly, if everyone else on the left are as ignorant as you are, and as such thinks that there is absolutely no possible reason that Chauvin could be found not guilty, the country is going to BURN if Chauvin is not convicted! You'll be lucky to have a country left. And it will all be the fault of a corrupt, dominantly left wing narrative driven media.

Why do you think that people have this expectation?

What do you mean, "who am I?"

Because of the left wing narrative promoted by the vast majority of media, people have that perception.

You got it! That silly woman is probably a typical New York white liberal who believes that cops are out to kill black people, and in a desperate move, decided to use it against this black man. There's a good chance that she was mentally ill and not really knowing what she was doing, in what could be some sort of mental illness 'episode.' Anxiety or something.

    What sort of "racial biases?"

So what's your understanding of it? That they just decided to kill a black man for no reason other than he was black? Of course, you won't be able to cite a source to support that!

What source is needed? I thought you were familiar with the story? They decided to chase him down because he was black. They decided to detain him because he was black.
