'Some' as in 'at least one'. The guy makes some interesting arguments, and has some interesting quotes from both Hilary and Trump. (From my point of view, you could believe the bad things Hilary promised, but you couldn't believe the good things Trump promised.) Anyway, here's the link.
My Texas relatives are pretty conservative people, but more in the old-fashioned FDR Democratic Party way ... i.e., for the minimum wage, etc ... so I thought they might have supported Trump in the primaries, but they didn't. But they just couldn't go for Hillary. I think the Democrats might have had a chance with someone else. I believe what a lot of people want is authenticity ... they're not as stupid as the spin-doctors think they are. In part that explains the popularity of Trump and Sanders, and also Jeremy Corbin over here in the UK. You know when they say something, that it hasn't been passed through a focus-group filter first.
Is Sanders had won the DNC nomination we would have President Sanders right now. Trump won mostly on the backs of people who despised Hillary Clinton. Those same people didn’t despise Sanders though. I believe it would have been enough to put Sanders over the top. A shame too. Sanders is rare in that he is not the literal font of evil that most politicians at his level embody.
I think you may be right about Sanders. I wonder what his chances of getting the nomination next time are?
The last election was about change, something obama ran on, but the wrong kind of change, although his supporters thought it was to be the kinda of change they wanted. It wasn't. Sanders was about change as was trump. The corrupt democrat party worked their arses off along with their mouthpieces MSM to elect hillary and demonize the People's candidate, Sanders. Most americans support some of the things sanders ran on. He would have been a strong candidate and IMO, the only person that could have beat trump. The DP does not want a candidate like sanders. They sold out the party of FDR long ago. This party is now the party of the upper middle class and the upper class. If you are not in this group, and still a establishment democrat, you are on fry short of a happy meal. So most here, the hillary dems, must be either upper middle or upper class. Or illogical.
Russia wouldn’t have had a problem with Sanders. They hated Clinton because she made it clear she would oppose their ambitions on the world stage with direct military intervention.
Also he wouldn't have won, too many capitalist's in the country who know Bernie's plan was garbage. Small business owners knew Bernie was going to make them bankrupt.
Well never know, but I think you’re wrong. Conservatives tend to hyperfocus on business as the only important issue and always get blindsided when people vote based on something else.
Personally I disagreed with Bernie supporters but I felt they had a lot more integrity than Hillary's who seemed to be floating the way the wind blew. Some might call it snowflake behaviour lol.
I'm pretty sure a lot of people who leaned liberal just didn't vote or voted third party (sad that those two are somehow equivalent) because they hated both candidates, me included. At the time, I really should have realized Trump was bound to win after the DNC nominated such a terrible candidate. Was pretty much inevitable. Not only would Sanders have won, but it's likely if you replaced Hilary with anyone else, Trumps chances would have dropped significantly.
