Bush famously said, “deficits don’t matter” or something like that as he turned Clinton’s budget surpluses into massive deficits. It has been more than a decade and people seem to forget that there were plenty of allegations that large chunks of Bush’s war money ended up in the hands of certain business interests. Businesses associated with the White House. The administration blocked investigations. When Obama came to power, in the name of reconciliation, he chose to ignore and forgive the wrongdoing of the Republicans.

The moral lesson of the Obama years is that one should never trust a Republicans. A point doubly driven home in the Trump era.

Only 90? I mean that seriously, a lot of conservative's main complaints aren't just exaggerated, they don't exist at all.

Case in point. We are approaching 25 years since AFDC (Aid to Families with Dependent Children ) became TANF (TEMPORARY Aid to Needy Families) The capitalized word there means that benes for any family are hard-capped to end in 5 years, yet conservatives still love to go on about how "endless" welfare "enslaves" black families, (even though 2/3 of welfare recipients are white). It's STILL one of their major myths and it's flat out WRONG on two major considerations. (THREE if you don't ascribe to the idea that chronic hunger makes you a better worker, but I digress) Most of everything conservatives say is like that, bullshit on bullshit as the saying goes.

and the reality is, welfare is the cost of cheap labor for employers, if people earned a living wage, they would not need welfare - society pays one way or the other

Better pay and benefits. Better working conditions. A great deal of the regulations that conservatives complain about, are there to protect workers and consumers. Prior to FDR, workers worked at the mercy of their employers. 12 hour days, 6 days a week. With no protection for the workers’ health or safety. It was the labor reforms of FDR that brought almost everyone into the middle class. Without the safety regulations, and limits on exposure to dangerous substances and machinery, a lot more workers used to be maimed and killed on the job.

Republicans want to take away your rights and protections as a worker and as a consumer. They want to lower the minimum wage. If you listened to Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren, really listen to them, and not just the sound bites they show you on television, you’d see that worker and consumer rights and protections are central to their platform.

The whole idea behind healthcare reform was to detach healthcare from one’s employment. To allow everyone access to adequate healthcare, regardless of if one is lucky enough to get a job with good healthcare benefits or not.

Republicans used to care about the environment. The EPA was created during the Nixon years. But modern Republicans want to gut the EPA, and environmental regulations in general. It is the Democrats who protect the air we breathe and the water we drink, as Republicans seek to weaken or eliminate those regulations.

A right wing judge, almost by definition, is one who tends to side with the employer, the business, over the worker and consumer. As in all things, the right is most concerned with the needs of those at the top, whereas the left is most concerned with the needs of the people, in general.

Obama incurred more debt than the prior 43 presidents combined.

Thanks to a deep recession what is Trump's reasons for such a huge deficit and debt?

Wrong. The recession was due to making bad loans to minorities, which the Dems forced on the banks.

Well, I concur, a fast food worker cannot lead a family of 4 comfortably.

I feel like that's universal. Probably because min wage jobs arent supposed to be careers.

But to my point, the people who work min wage as careers are few and far between. Take out people younger than 22 in the statistics and they are few and far between.

Recessions happen that is a truth of the economic business cycle no matter whom you think caused it. If you want to deny that there was a recession during Oblama that is you right to live in a world of denial.
Why is the Trump admin allowing huge deficits to exist which is running up the debt during a so called greta economy?

There was a serious recession in 2008-2009. It cost McCain the presidency. But it wasn't caused by Republican/conservative policies.

    Wrong.

In 2018 35.7 percent of SNAP program beneficiaries were white, 25.7 percent were African American, 17.2 percent were Hispanic, 3.1 percent were Asian. [Source: USDA]

Given whites make up 70% of the country, they're WAAAAY underrepresented in terms of welfare per capita.

African Americans make up 13% of the population but 26% of SNAP beneficiaries. Those are the statistics people point to.

So cry me a river and yet again you can defray the reasons why Trump is running up the debt and deficit at the same proportions as Oblama did when he was inducing stimulus into a lagging economy?

Washington is evil. It doesn't steward our money wisely, which will eventually destroy the republic. At some point, government will break down and it's going to be every man for himself.

Thankfully, that won't be until we're in the ground.

These preprogrammed tagalongs reiterate the echo chamber and I feel it is not worth the time and effort to prove them wrong because they have already been brainwashed.

TWENTYFIVE PERCENT of ALL jobs pay LESS than the Federal POVERTY LEVEL wages!

ONE in FOUR hardworking Americans is being CHEATED out of a living wage with benefits by the GOP's fiscal malfeasance and the GREED OBSESSION of the Wall Street Casino Banksters!

That is REALITY under the criminal IMPOTUS!

When wealth disparity reaches these levels that is when history teaches us that revolutions occur!
