This somehow doesn't surprise me. What would you call mass killings by communist regimes? Will there be continued digital expungement of non-Left content:

Hmmmm Bias comes before Fact in the dictionary. Maybe they be thinking it's "politically correct" to give it more weight.

Change the title to, "Mass Killings Under Authoritarian Regimes," and make the existing article a sub-heading. Problem solved.

That anyone is investing any more time, energy or attention on this than cleaning up the bullet points for a book report is both hilarious and sad...

and the murders committed by capitalisms should be ignored?

besides the deaths from unsage wotking conditions, mining disasters and the like, union members and their organizers have frequently been killed, usually with police and government assistance. haymarket, ludlow, and a hinfred west virginia mines where the "molly maguires" were blamed and punished while violent capitalist owners were given all the help they needed to maintain their profit margins.

History of union busting in the United States - Wikipedia

every latin american country gad (and has) its death squads, trained at ft benning ga in the "school of the americas", death squad's specialize in killing nuns and peons who resist when an american corporation buys their farms from the imperialist puppet government.

    Death squad - Wikipedia

coups, "police action" embargos, famine (google "potato famine") and terror are sure to follow if a poor country is unfortunate enough to possess resources desired by american capitalists or european imperialists.

add a few native americans and the disease caused by pollution and i will match the cultural revolution, pol pot, and the bolsheviks with ease.

You would be hard-pressed to find people here, on the political "left"-- which would predominantly mean Democrats-- who would object to covering any of the human rights abuses of Communist regimes. Your suggestion that this debated change has to do with anything anti-Communist, not being in accordance with the views of liberals, shows an utter cluelessness, about opinions of people of the left, on your part.

Maybe you should try reading the explanation of the debate, which you posted.

Your point? Yes, all Communist governments, to this point, have been authoritarian, to varying degrees. However, all authoritarian governments, are not Communist. That is the reason for the debate over a title which could suggest that genocidal purges are a feature, not of authoritarianism, but of Communism. Would the change that Phyxius suggested run afoul of any of your own "biases," in favor of, for example, Fascist regimes?

Sadly, genocidal prejudices and actions have occurred under non-authoritarian, representational governments, as well. For example, look at current/recent policies and activities against those with Haitian heritage, in the Dominican Republic. Or Israeli policy towards Palestinians. And, while it was not technically a genocide, the policies & practices of South African Apartheid, seem relevant. Going back a little bit further, we have genocidal policies of the U.S. govt., against our indigenous people.

Then there have been genocides that have occurred with changes in the power structures of what, until that time, had been democracy-based systems, as when the Hutus turned on the Tutsis:

    https://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-26875506

And then there is the opposite dynamic; that is, the Socialist government in which peace reigned between different ethnic groups, until that power structure gave way to democratic freedom. I am thinking of the Serbian assault against Croats, which commenced when Yugoslavia came to its political end. So, it may even be a mistake to tie genocidal impulses specifically to authoritarianism.
