The House passed an ObamaCare repeal/replace bill. But the Senate had a bill and it didn't even come up for a vote. The they tried just Repeal, but that too doesn't even have enough votes to end debate, elt alone go to a failed vote. But the Senate GOP says they will keep trying and will vote again next week. Will ObamaCare repeal/replace win the vote? How about just repeal?
I know it's wishful thinking on my part, but I voted that the "repeal" portion would pass, and that the "replace" part would be properly and intelligently set aside for two years. It may very well be that both initiatives will fail, however. We've got so damned many RINO's in the Republican Party now that no one with a Conservative viewpoint can get anything done anymore. Slowly, but surely, we're seeing the United States slide off down into a big pile of chaotically liberal, socialist sh*t, and. evidently there is nothing that anyone is going to DO about it. Don't think for a minute that any of this has escaped the notice of either our allies or our adversaries.... . "You Americans have been doing your best to commit national suicide ever since 2001...!"
Repealing Obamacare all together at this point is stupid. We just need to fix the crappy parts for now.
And which "parts" of Obamacare are worth saving? We should repeal the whole rotten, fraudulent pile of crap, go back to what worked well enough without throwing 17% of the nation's economy and the entire medical industry into chaos. We should repeal it, throw ALL of it out, and take two years to put together a comprehensive new system AFTER full consultation with America's physicians, America's medical research industries, America's health insurance companies, and America's pharmaceutical industry. The United States isn't some half-assed European-style, 'socialism-lite' country. We need rock-solid solutions to what is surely by now the nation's biggest outstanding problem area. The ultimate answer may be to create a GERMAN-style healthcare system here... it, at least, works better than any of the other European systems. But, to say the least, Americans are not Germans.... But will Congress simply repeal and get rid of Obamacare? Oh, HELL no! The RINO's are too frightened of all the swarms of parasites and slackers who now demand that the government just provide everything for FREE! . We're turning the United States into a Welfare State Fairyland where everybody just sits around on their asses all day, expecting someone else to support them. . "We gotta keep it now, or the welfare mob will KILL us!" .
The ACA will collapse under its own weight and then which ever politicians in office at the time will lament what their prior compatriots did not do. Some day people will figure out that health insurance is not health care.
