So far I think he's handled it pretty well, condemning the initial arrest so he reassures liberals and minorities but at the same time slamming the rioters which will appeal to his core and the law and order lobby.

On the other hand Joe Biden is still trapped in his bunker (with RBG?) and seems positively ineffectual. I heard a rumour that members of his campaign staff have stood bail for some of the rioters? If that is true I think he can kiss the election goodbye because Trump will make merry sport with that.

I really have no idea anymore, things that should hurt him seem to help him — things that should help him seem to hurt him.
I don’t believe it will have much effect to be honest, nothing else has. Small blips. His support has been pretty steady — averring less than 2% variance from the day he was elected...

On the opposite end of the coin the people voting against him has only grown, very few people support biden for what he represents but rather because he isn’t trump.

I cannot believe these two are the best this country has to offer.

Very good. Recognizing one's ignorance is the first step towards wisdom. Democrats are confounded by Trump because they totally misunderstand the political dynamics of the US.

My answer to the poll question is this: It depends.

If Republicans can play on people's fear, and they are already trying to, then it will help republicans, not just Trump. How much is hard to say, this election is a complete freak show.

But if that doesn't work, it will rebound against Republicans and they will lose both the White House and the Senate.

Non-trump supporters are confounded by trump supporters because they do not understand how the right has sold out every ideal they have screamed for the last decade they hold. Especially wrapped around a figure like trump who is a multiple time adulterer, has zero transparency, has been involved in prostitution bribery and numerous instances of fraud — including against our veterans and our youth seeking education, has abused our tax systems and is unable to stop lying or being a narcissist for a single moment. Maybe he represents some of them...

Also, do not mistake political dynamics especially seeing that more people have died from the “hoax” COVID19 virus than handed him an electoral college win in 2016 while he lost the PV to one of the most vile women to ever hold office — and then voters handed back the house to Democrats in 2018.

Thank you for expanding on your lack of understanding of the political situation.

    The next step is humility.

You really should try to weed out your preconceptions and just look at the 2016 election.

But I expect you are too proud to do that. C'est la vie. I prefer my political adversaries proud and misguided, in any case.

What part of the 2016 election would you like for me to examine?
I already posted one examination of it which I take you didn’t like so you glossed over it.

The fund only goes to people arrested for protesting, not if they damaged property or were charged with a violent act.

    Not that nuance matters anymore.

    Um, protesting isn't illegal.

If they were arrested, that weren't merely protesting.

How many protestors got arrested at the peaceful lockdown protests?

If they're going to go with the "Elect Biden, or there will be more riots" threat strategy, it'll ring pretty hollow when one recalls that they rioted while Obama was in office, so they're pretty much going to riot regardless of who gets elected.

Resisting, fleeing, refusing to exit an area after being ordered to do so are all arrestable offenses.

Strange I don’t see any one the right saying their first amendment rights are being violated when the cops try to shut down the peaceful portions of the protests. Looks dangerous

    Becoming more and more obvious.

    Popular Vote whine failed
    Sexual misconduct allegations failed
    Russian collusion charges failed
    Impeachment attempt failed
    Covid19 fakedemic failed.

Only way our leftist colleagues could succeed in ousting Trump would be to have chosen a winner to run against him in Nov. I think we all know how that's turning out.

In the long run it will only highlight his inadequacies as a president and a He will do everything in his power human being. In the days to come you can expect him to stoke the flames of division. Healing isn't in his playbook.

I doubt it will hurt him. The country will have forgotten about it by election time.

You may be right it only takes the country about 15 minutes to forget every mass shooting. No matter how many people are killed. Let's face it this ****-hole country has no soul.
