Just tell him there is a fried chicken buffet at Golden Corral, then lock the door behind him. Problem solved!

But,in all seriousness, Trump will try to use every tool at his disposal to cast doubt on the election results and to render them invalid. Hell, he won in 2016, and still he formed a commission to try to prove that he actually won the popular vote. So Trump will resist, but he will have few to no allies for this in congress or the Pentagon.

I don't know about the few allies and how many will he need? This is the first time in my memory or my knowledge of history that we have had people who are devoted to HIM, not America, him. That's really very unusual, particularly in light of the fact that he is both undeserving and unworthy of it. He demands personal loyalty but will then quite quickly throw even his closest followers under the bus and to cap it all he is an utter boor and totally willful oaf. A man utterly and deliberately devoid of charm, humor and completely bereft of anything even approaching grace, yet he has what is the most personally devoted cadre of sycophants I have yet seen for an American pol, go figure.

Oh, you can rest assured that his congressional surrogate mommies would quickly abandon him, if he refused to leave. As would his miltary brass. He would need most of them even to attempt to defy the election.

It would be impossible for the DEM's to get a super majority in the Senate.

Therefore impeachment or no impeachment he WILL make it to 2020.

And he has a huge following, so he may just win again in 2020 even though the GOP stands to lose both Senate AND House in 2018 - November.

His following is more noisy than huge. And more amazing than noisy. I think the rally phenomena is like Professional Wrestling where you go more to see the crowd than the wrestlers and become part of the crowd yourself. For all we know there may be a hardcore that follows his rallies wherever they go. If a two bit bunch of mediocre stoners could have a following that kept them alive for 20 years beyond what even really good bands could expect how much more should we expect from fracking Nazis being promised revival in America?

And what if Mueller tells us categorically that Trump's collusion got the Russians into the computerized ballot boxes in 2016? particularly the three states that gave Trump the Electoral victory? what if it turns out he stole the ELECTORAL victory as well? might not that be enough to turn even the Republicans against him? This is not that wildly speculative, stealing 160,000 votes is all that is necessary and I think we vastly underestimate Russia's computer expertise if we say that couldn't be done. I think that very thing is coming to light in Mueller's interrogations as we speak, it's why we've heard nothing from him recently.

Well you/we saw what just happened with Kavanaugh.

Same would happen with Trump. The GOP in the Senate would NOT vote to impeach him.

It's not as bad as Nixon. Trump is stupid. Nixon was dangerous and smart.

Nixon was not an incipient totalitarian and tyrant. In many ways he was a good President and a man caught up in a scheme that got out of hand. Trump is a flat out evil bastard who means to destroy this country and is well on his way to doing so. This Kavanaugh thing doesn't really prove that, Finding out that he cheated the voting in the last election would.

That being said I don't think it will be worth it to impeach him. It might hurt the Republicans even more to let hims stay until 2020 and dismantling what the Republican Party has become should be our first priority after Trump is quarantined from influence.

Nixon was a dangerous tyrant who was brought down from power at the pinnacle of his own.

Trump is just a stupid loud mouth who cannot keep it shut.

    He gloats for attention.

Trump craves attention and he's learned how to get it. Trying to keep power after he is voted out is something even a shitbird like him would understand to be detrimental to his need for constant attention. He knows such a move would alienate an unknown but not small portion of his supporters too, the people he relies on for his ego cravings. Trump is a brash self-obsessed piece of crap but, he's not as dumb as some of his more vocal critics would have you believe.

I disagree about Nixon. What else besides Watergate betrays him as a despot? With Trump everything he has done shouts that here is a man who hates Democracy and intends to destroy it in his favor. You underestimate him, a bad mistake.

When Trump was first elected I expected he would surprise us, and grow into the office as many have done before him. He has surprised us even more, he has shrunk.

Trump will physically leave but break another tradition by being vocal (tweetal?) and critical of whoever takes the reigns as they attempt to do what he did and remove his "Legacy" ….such as it is. The repair process will be extensive and difficult for whoever takes on the massive task both diplomatically with allies and societally.

He's old man. I hope he don't die by then. I doubt it he'll go to 2020. Not possible for 2024. Trump is 72. By 2020 he will be 74. And by 2024 he will be 78. An old man. I know the Queen of England is like 105 years old but it has been proven that she's a Reptile, Reptilian-whatever... So she don't age like we normal mortals do.

Nixon got caught before he got away with it.

That was lucky for the USA.

Buchanan from 1860 almost destroyed America.

Those are the 2 worst Presidents we have ever had.

I am actually surprised that Trump has done a BETTER job than I expected.

His learning curve is quite steep.

Too bad he cannot learn to stop tweeting.

Why would a freshly re-elected president leave? You folks are funny if you think he's not going to win...
