And here to give them lessons is Raquel Welch. Welch when i was young was a gold standard beautiful woman. She was in movies and showed up on TV programs. She was a dream woman. This is a woman that kept me from a nightmare and instead was a nice dream.

To me, that pic looks like a two bit hooker talking down to a caricature of a smart woman (and the smart woman has better hair, FTR).

I understand glamour to be refined style, elegance, and spotless grooming. Audrey Hepburn, not Raquel Welch. Having said that, I agree that women have the right (obviously ... why wouldn't they?), but they also have the right to not be 'glamorous' at all. They have as much right as men do to spend their lives without makeup, and in flannel shirts, jeans, and steel capped boots. They are no less gorgeous (if indeed they are gorgeous) for doing so.

Likely because actual men are compelled to be protective and appreciative of women in general and probably have a mate even more important.

Maybe the title of the article should have been called "Doctors in training use prisoners for practice".
They have to practice on somebody, and it doesn't cost the prison anything. Even women in prison have the right to be glamorous.

The best compliment I had ever received at age 13 was to be called a feminist and it did not come from a man.
I went to women when I wanted real advice, men seemed to immature and would give false advice designed to get one into more trouble.

Lucille Ball was an incredible executive.
She really was the motivation for Star Trek when nobody else was interested.

And my prejudice workshops I would ask the kids how the lives would be different if they were the opposite gender. Almost every year boys would say how they would be able to share their secrets.

And I bet you don’t think you are sexist. That’s usually the worst kind the one who has unacknowledged sexism

Certainly Renee. My daughter appears to be made of strong stuff. I do not know which path she will choose, but I hope that she is happy with whatever choice she makes.

So is it ok for women to show cleavage like that?

I mean its ok with ME (of course) but I was under the impression that most women are under the impression that such is just desperate attention-seeking by low-self-esteem women.

no...no that's completely incorrect we like showing cleavage

truth is there is a time for cleavage and a time to cover up, some women just seem to get it hopelessly wrong, whether deliberate or unintentional. I also believe it's better to not display all your assets at once... you know cleavage... then keep the skirt longer, or short skirt keep the top a bit more covered up.... just a general rule I think ends up looking less trashy.

For work obviously it's never the right occasion, in my opinion anyway.

Desperate attention seeking women tend to take it too far

Ms. Welch was featured on more than TV, she was featured extremely often in magazines and gossip rags. She was then considered a star. In other words, to a huge degree she was working as a star.
