Putin should drag his crap back out of Ukraine, say sorry and get on with trying to rebuild what he has torn up. It turns out that nukes aren't an indisputable black mail ticket to do whatever you want. Everybody has them now.

A lot of people missed the fact that yesterday afternoon, Biden spokesman, John Kirby said that there is NO CHANGE to our policy about Ukraine's use of missiles inside Russia. What that means is that Putin drew a "Red Line" and NATO (which actually means us and the Brits) backed away from it.

There's a ton of new articles at various sites now about this. All you have to do is google: "kirby says no change in missile policy" and you'll have enough reading material to keep you busy for hours.

    Here's just one of them -- https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cnvdyd4nnzro

Our Neocons should drag our crap out of Ukraine and Eastern Europe, say sorry and do something
for a change to protect the USA which is unprotected.

Remember 911? any other country would have got their planes to protect the towers within 25 minutes,
the US never did. The pilots asked about going to Washington DC and were told no. Instead a
Hercules propeller-driven transport was sent. Defend the Southern Border? No. Northern border?
    No.

The Department of Defense only does offense.

How would sending planes have protected the towers?

In a real attack they would have but it wasn't part of their plan*.

Yeah. The planes wouldn't have been able to remove the pre-planted explosives.

If they can't then to this very day the best protected areas in the world, the airspace over Manhattan and
central Washington DC, are still unprotected because it is impossible to protect them.

Then why are be blowing 10 trillion dollars on 'defense' when we can't be defended?

Maybe we could focus on not making enemies in the first place???

No, to a neocon, war is the answer to every question.

At what moment of time would your planes have shot down the planes that crashed into the towers?

I agree with much of your post though

Biden's term isn't over. There's plenty of time to change their minds.

Biden ultimately backed down and rejected Ukraine's plea to use American long-range missiles on Russian targets. U.S. National Security Advisor John Kirby said that there is no change in U.S. policy regarding the use of long-range missiles it provides to Ukraine, and no new announcements are planned.

The hijacking was reported at 08:19, the North Tower was hit at 08:53

It takes five minutes from scramble to take off owing to the need to warm up the engines.
And then it would take a minimum of 4 minutes for a plane to get from Stewart ANG base
to Manhattan, but a better idea would be to go directly to the hijacked plane.

After signaling the hijacked plane, then with no response, with suitable authorization
to disable the engines, the plane could then land at any of a number of airports.

I don't think it had enough height and speed to make it into Manhattan.

But that's just my guess and I'm not even a pilot or in the Airforce.

Then the Dems need to stop voting for leaders who believe in
    mindless violence.

Although it is pretty obvious right now that the US favors the escalation of
the war in Ukraine, there is still strong resistance to the evidence the
US started the war in Ukraine.

Biden met with the British Prime Minister to literally convince him to give the weapons.

In the Neocons minds; war is the only route to peace.

Never mind that all the other countries in the world except
Israel seem to get along fairly well.

Ukraine and the Russian Federation used to negotiate any
differences they had from 1992 until the US/NATO got involved
initially by announcing the plan in 2008 that NATO would take over
both Georgia and Ukraine, and then by implementing regime
change in Ukraine in 2014, and then shipping in millions of
dollars in weapons in mid 2021 resulting in the war in 2022.

That's what happens when you believe that war is the only route to peace.

War profits under the Harris / Biden administration are at historic levels. It shouldn't surprise anyone that the donations to the Democrat party are also at historic highs. There is only one candidate in the last 50 years to win an election with less money thanks to internet media. Now that we have Google and Facebook firmly aboard the fascist censorship campaign, we can rest assured that will never happen again.

Biden is not so crazy after all. Biden didn't agree with Keir Starmer, who wants Ukraine to unleash Storm Shadow missiles all over Russia, thus putting NATO at the forefront of a war against Russia. For the use of the British long-rage missiles, it still needs to be approved by Washington because Storm Shadow missiles contain American components.

Keir Starmer and Joe Biden have discussed letting Ukraine fire long-range, western-supplied missiles into Russia, while stopping short of any formal announcement. Vladimir Putin has threatened it would amount to Nato joining the war. The UK prime minister told reporters at the White House that he had a “wide-ranging discussion about strategy” with the US president but that it was not just a meeting about “a particular capability”.

Before the meeting, officials had said Starmer would press Biden to back his plan to let British Storm Shadow be used to strike inside Russia. Britain’s PM indicated he and Biden would discuss the plan at the UN general assembly in New York the week after next “with a wider group of individuals”.

But, Mike, it ain't gonna be Joe Biden who's deciding anything... it's going to be Joe's HANDLERS! It could argued successfully that it's a klatch of back-office 'woke' manipulators who have told him everything to do from day-one!

Well, come next January 20th, Kammy and her klatch will be in charge, and it's by no means certain that all of Biden's well-paid 'masterminds' are going to automatically keep 'a seat on that bus'. :cynic:

And it would be a piss-poor thing to have on your resumé that you gave Zelensky's people permission to send NATO missiles deep into Russia just a few months before Joe heads off to a nursing home and Kammy comes marching in. Especially if in the immediate aftermath of doing that it provoked a greatly expanded conventional war that rains destruction on the Baltic countries and Poland.

No... the back-office toads will lay low, cover their asses, avoid stirring the pot, and wait to see what Kammy's approach will be, and then they'll know 'how it's going to be'....
