You assume a lot without facts.
I did not create what I found.

Isn't this what every theist (and perhaps even deist or anyone else who acknowledges the existence of some form of god or gods) ends up doing in some unique way?

You seem to have clammed up a bit.. What have you found, then?

I think you've just discovered a set of ideas that suits you.

I am not clamed up. I am just not here to try to convince people of something without proof.
I offer an anecdotal story and a way to get to where I went.

Those who think that link makes sense might try it. Those who do not see anything of value in it will not.

There is no skin off my nose either way.

I did not receive any ideas from the cosmic consciousness I found.

I did get confirmation of my paradigm and an instruction to think more demographically but that was it.

I did develop a better view of things and ideas after following that advise.

The "cosmic conciousness" itself is the sort of thing I'm talking about, i.e. one of those ideas you've come across that happens to suit you for some reason. And I guess you've indicated the reason already - it confirmed a way of thinking you had before you encountered it. Sounds like a case of confirmation bias, doesn't it?

Of course, any belief or view we come upon in our adult lives, as opposed to a belief or view instilled in us during childhood, tend to be more special to us, I think. Part of the human condition seems to be this "self-discovery" paradigm of moving from the childhood view to a new one, and in the processing finding ourselves. It's a part of maturing, then, as a person. Would I be right in guessing this applies to your new view?

For me, I would say it was in moving away from Christianity to embrace non-belief. I was raised a conservative Lutheran, but for many years already before I walked away from that faith I had serious internal doubts about it. When I did get away from it and embrace an atheistic view, I finally chose to be true to myself, in a way.

But how I feel as an atheist is not something I can really use to justify an atheistic view as something someone else should embrace also. Nay, what makes atheism sensible is that it fits the facts at hand...

Atheism is ok except that I find that most are not as socially conscious as I would like.

Some of their spokesmen like Mr. Debotton and sociologists are telling them to organize into groups and free thinking churches in order to do a better job of creating a place for their children to assuage their natural tribal natures. The fight between atheist church or organization against the organized church is the only way to brat it. But except for a short but growing list of exceptions, they are not getting into it.

That is showing self-centeredness and not caring much for their children and grandchildren.

OK, you've found your favorite deity. Now what? How will that discovery improve your life and help to make you a better person, if that's what you want to be? Why was it impossible for you to achieve your goal without discovering your favorite deity?

Every now and then I find my head in the clouds pondering spiritual matters.

I assume god is what kicks me in the shins and brings me out of it.

Favorite. No. That would be idol worship. That is deadly to improving ones thinking and as with Christians, it kills good morals by forcing them to have a double standard so that they can stomach their genocidal son murdering God..

The way to seek God is for me to ignore what I found, raise the bar of my expectations of myself and seek further. Seeking God to a Gnostic is never ending. There is always another rung to Jacob's ladder.

God is poorly spelled. It should be more like psychopath.

God is well named here though.
