Trump supporters, I don't understand why you put up with Trump when you have a VP who will enact the exact same agenda. After the last couple of days, there can't be any doubt among you that Trump is unbalanced. Why do you put up with all his nonsense when Pence is waiting in the wings??? Force Trump to resign or if he doesn't Article 25 him. Why don't you do this? You've had opportunity after opportunity.

The only reason I can think of is that the GOP is not agenda-driven, it's Trump-driven. If that's true, the GOP isn't a political party anymore, it's a cult. But anyway, I'm curious why you guys hang on to him.

Because "elections have consequences". Trump was elected and no one without an anti Trump cult agenda is going to try and undo the election. Good luck with impeachment, and same goes for 2020. Get the votes ... Senate or electoral college. Your agenda, your burden.

You voted for Trump AND Pence.
You voted for Trump AND Pence. If a President becomes unfit for the job, it's not "undoing the election" to have the VP take over. That's why the VP is there!

I'm asking YOU GUYS. Why doesn't the GOP get together and demand Trump's resignation or Article 25 him? Is his behavior normal to you? Have you ever seen a mentally balanced person act like this? Of course you haven't. So declare him unfit and let Pence take over. What is the downside? Unless it really is all about Trump.

In practical terms, Pence and Trump are sterile cuckoos. The so called "deep state" that holds America together, ignores them both. Everyone is biding their time until Trump goes totally off the rails, resigns, or is buried by the Mueller report. They just don't matter much anymore.

Remember the "Anonymous" letter in the NY Times? Everyone forgets that. I almost think there really is a cabal running things and telling other countries to ignore Trump.

As one of US GUYS who voted Trump, I gave you my honest answer. The opinions of "YOU GUYS" who didn't vote Trump isn't compelling enough, nor is Trump's performance record. I respect free elections, and constitutional provisions for removing a president from office. You show little respect for either process, and even less respect towards voters. You seem to want to dictate voter sentiment, good luck with that too.

You just got used to bullying GOP politicians. You are upset that this guy defends himself and fights back. None of us has seen anything like it. You are right on that point.

Why? Because the GOP doesn't suffer from the same deficits followers of the New Democratic Party are burdened with.

The propaganda you buy wasn't designed to excite those who share your ideological beliefs.

I think the OP provides an alternative in case Trump is found guilty of breaking the law, or is removed through impeachment. The question is valid. If that were the case, wouldn't Republicans be just as happy with Pence? Not much difference, from a policy standpoint.

He's fighting against a dead guy! AND complaining nobody thanked him for the funeral. You KNOW that's weird. It's so weird GOP senator Johnny Isakon from deep red Georgia comes out of the woodwork to call Trump out on it! That would be like Rick Santorum publicly rebuking President Bush. It just wouldn't happen.

My frustration is you guys knows damn well Trump is unbalanced and you won't admit it. You won't admit it because you're emotionally invested in this guy, for whatever strange reason.

Why not? If Obama had done a tenth of the bat**** crazy stuff Trump had done, he would have been gone. If it had just been Obama on that Access Hollywood tape, the DNC would have forced him out because Biden was essentially a policy-clone of Obama.

What do you think Pence would do that Trump wouldn't?

You realize Pence is for conversion therapy right? Do you know anything about his record at all?

I appreciate the answer. I respect the process of removing Presidents who become mentally incapacitated, and I think it's clear that Trump has reach that point.

Oh yeah. I really, really don't want a President Pence. Trump would be at 50+% approval if he was halfway normal. Pence would be very hard to beat in 2020. I want Trump in there with all his craziness so we can beat him.

I'm putting myself in your shoes, though, and I would can Trump and put Pence in, and I don't understand why you guys (the RNC) haven't done that.

Pence is still young, he can wait, his time is in 2024, not now... although I personally think it will be Nikki Haley. That being said, we like Trump, he's got a great MAGA agenda, he is fighting for it, he kicks $ss, he kicks liberal $ss and has driven the left clinically insane the way no other politician including of course Pence never could.

Nah, thanks for concern trolling but we are keeping Trump for 6 more years :D

I made it clear that I respect the constitutional provisions for removing a president. Pence serving the remainder of Trump's term would likely mean a more conservative agenda, and that doesn't appeal to me as much as it might to others, but I'm not opposed to Pence either.

I don't think it is clear. I think there's a constitutional provision specifically designed to deal with that eventuality, and no earnest attempt has been made to exercise it. Unqualified medical opinions expressed on twitter aren't going to meet the 25th A's crireria.

A continuation of peace and prosperity seems like a pretty good agenda to me, as opposed to a $100 trillion futile attempt at controlling the planet's climate, and dictating the lives of every American citizen.

Eventually, mental illness reaches a point where even a kid can spot it. We've all seen people talking to themselves on the street. You don't need to be a doctor to understand they're mentally ill.

Trump's malignant narcissism is so obvious, I KNOW you can see it.

"Narcissistic personality disorder — one of several types of personality disorders — is a mental condition in which people have an inflated sense of their own importance, a deep need for excessive attention and admiration, troubled relationships, and a lack of empathy for others. But behind this mask of extreme confidence lies a fragile self-esteem that's vulnerable to the slightest criticism.

A narcissistic personality disorder causes problems in many areas of life, such as relationships, work, school or financial affairs. People with narcissistic personality disorder may be generally unhappy and disappointed when they're not given the special favors or admiration they believe they deserve. They may find their relationships unfulfilling, and others may not enjoy being around them.

We're talking about putting Pence in charge, not Pelosi. What is the downside to removing Trump and installing Pence?

As much as I like Pence, he simply isn't the politician that Trump is, and a sitting VP would have little chance of winning going against the current President. Can you imagine what would have happened if Biden had tried to run against Obama?

And no, I don't believe that Trump is in anyway unqualified for the office via the 25th Amendment.

Playing into #22 ... ask Pelosi these questions. Pelosi is the majority leader YOU GUYS elected. Why can't Pelosi see Trump's symptoms? You said a child could spot them. Why hasn't Pelosi invoked the 25th, or allowed a vote on impeachment? Maybe House democrats are mentally unstable too.
