Default Chinese Spies steal cutting-edge Technology from US Navy

This is a big one 'Gents. It's not being openly talked about in the News which I don't know why but China has successfully infiltrated America's most secret Naval Engineering Circle and has stolen the bulk of the latest most secret Technology the Navy has and has been working on. What did I tell you guys? I TOLD YOU that the primary agenda for China Militarily is to build up its Navy. It's the same thing we did a hundred years ago under Teddy. This is Massive breach in our Nation's Security and for one thing it would have never happened without the lame-brain policies of 'Racial-equality'. Check-mate on that Liberals. When I heard about this, it worried the hell out of me for two days. Now, who still thinks China is our friend?

Did anyone here suggest that China wasn't spying on the U.S.? Or, for that matter, that the U.S. isn't spying on China?

It has less to do with racial equality and more to do with holes in security. While the Chinese spies were working for another nation, it seems the Indian guy mentioned at the end was doing it for profit... Chances are there are people of many national backgrounds looking to sell secrets for profit.
And despite this most Chinese-born engineers are not sending information to China.

It's a case that companies in the military sector need to keep closer watch on their employees.

You can take your half-wit condescending elsewhere.

This is one of the results of libs wanting to suck in hordes of people to this country to balkanize it. There are many people here who range from green card holders to legal resident aliens to even U.S. citizens who are here for one reason: to exploit the country one way or another. They have no identification with or loyalty to america - it's just an address. They aren't americans, just participants in liberals DI-versity project to wreck the country.

Has more to do with the needs of business to fill certain skilled positions and the unwillingness of native-born Americans to educate themselves for those positions.
You'll find most of the people behind it are not your beloved liberal phantoms... They are people who want to keep important businesses running in this country- and countries like China mass produce people to fill the niche.
And the country is overall better for it, making up for the lack of such education in native-born.
We always have the risk of spies in secretive industries... we get them in non-national security-related sectors too.
It's the security that's the big problem... not the hiring practice.

That's one part of it, but that part is due to the colossal, disgraceful failure of the liberal education establishment.

And you think big business isn't liberal? Try to catch your perceptions up with current reality.

Well big business has a massive tendency of hoping for pro-business legislature. That's enough to say they aren't exactly your garden-variety liberals... Most of the time they could care less as long as the laws favor their business.
The education system doesn't necessarily do a bad job of teaching engineering and other things. The problem is that the kids don't get interested in those types of positions. Is it the school's job to get them interested?
Engineering and the medical field, as well as many other specializations require a lot of work and don't necessarily provide huge returns. Given the options, Americans are more likely to go into business or marketing... much more attractive to our sensibilities.
It's a sign that our native-born do not have as much to gain through such fields. It's only natural that those with more to gain will more likely take it up. It's capitalism at work.
Unfortunately it's hard to tell who is going to be a hard-working American and who is going to be a spy... But then again it's hard to tell that with native-borns... You can't tell who's out for their country and who's out for their pockets.
So the assumption should be that ALL workers are out for themselves and that they are all willing to sell secrets. If a company fails to take this stance, they will be in for something like this.

Default Pure horse pucky

What a load of puckey! Face facts this guy was naturalized 20 years ago that would been in 1987 my boy thats hardly the summer of love in fact it seems he slipped in while Reagan was president...hmmm go figure what with him being so busy giving missile tech to Iran and arming the contras that one can only wonder how many other spies got in while he was preoccupied!
naturalised as a US citizen 20 years ago who was now lead project engineer at the California

THen there is the issue that the spying took place while you all held all three houses of gvt....hmmm where were those liberals again?

All four suspects were arrested on October 28

Then we have the issue that this is not the first chinese spy case under YOUR president and YOUR party....
In March, 2003, the FBI arrested a Chinese-American businesswoman and Republican fundraiser, alleging that she had passed a frighteningly broad range of American intelligence secrets to the People's Republic of China (PRC )
http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/fea....marshall.html

So what do we have here then? Yup another case of antiaccountaiblity from the rightwing as they wine about how the "liberals" or "Bill Clinton" are responsible for the GOP's screw ups. What's next? The Iraq war is the liberals fault because they said that it was a bad idea back before it started and that forced the GOP/Bush War Machine into action due to their kneejerk reaction to anyting liberal being bad? How about Hillary being the cause of global warming? Mayhap we could blame Ted Kennedy for the high cost of ethanol?

Gimme a break. THis was another case of the Chinese spying on us and Bushco not looking to our homeland security....

I was thinking the same thing. I thought this was common knowledge.

Ummm...no.

Pay attention to the wording in your link:

Quote:
Beijing: A new scandal involving an alleged Chinese spy ring stealing the secrets of advanced American naval technology has erupted only two weeks ahead of a visit to Beijing by the US President, George Bush.

Four people of Chinese nationality or descent have been charged by the Federal Bureau of Investigation with conspiracy to steal military secrets, including details of a new quiet propulsion system for US Navy warships and submarines.

[...] The FBI alleges Chi Mak transferred information about the propulsion system and other government projects from his workplace to his home and then copied the data so it could be delivered to his brother. Tai allegedly then encrypted the information with the assistance of an unidentified accomplice and made arrangements to take the encrypted data to China.

All this article says is what they are accused of. Not what they have actually accomplished. Even the link's title says that.

I agree. Race is irrelevant. If anything, this is about nationality, not race. None of these people are American born.

Regardless, I have seen no evidence that they were successful in stealing this technology. Only that they are accused of trying.
