No sir, the 316th was based in Langley from '65 to '75; they've since moved to Andrews.
They operated C-130's from '66 to '75.

I was with the 910th out of Youngstown, OH.

Neither, really. Just to expand my qualifications. I am already a trainer but just basic obedience training and behaviour. I would like to expand my business into mostly behaviour, but eventually I want to work with abused and abandoned dogs, and train them to a point where they can find meaningful occupation.

I have been talking for a year or so now with the sheriff in Lee County who started the Cell Dogs programme in the US, because I would like to start something similar in Australia. My training has been put on hold just slightly as I am seven months pregnant, but once bub is about six months old I'll start again. A large part of my work at the moment is giving people advice online, but that is limiting, for obvious reasons.

My business is called `Citizen Canine'. Original...

And here I was trying to give you advice on naming the wee one. That is just excellent. I love it!

Very cool. If you need help please let me know. If you really want to expand your knowledge of training I would suggest that you stay away from Schutzhund and stick with protection and working. It will give you a much greater appreciation for their abilities.

Yes I am inclined to agree. I met someone down the local park the other day who was quite seriously `rough-housing' with his dog. Something about it just looked funny, so I casually approached and asked what he was doing. He told me `oh, it's something called Schutzhund'. I carefully ventured that I knew what Schutzhund was and what he was doing didn't really look like it to me, and he spilled some kind of demented garbage to me for about ten minutes before I was able to take my leave.

It bothers me more than you can know how much people mess up their dogs with rubbish like what this guy was doing. His poor dog looked stressed and confused and yet the guy thought he was `training' him to be a - get this - a `good guard dog'.

Yeah right. The only thing he's training him to do is attack some random stranger and then get put to sleep for no greater crime than being a poor, confused pup. People worry about the state of the world, and I do too, but it's that kind of thing that keeps me awake at night.

That is too bad really too bad. That is why you should always get a professional to help train your dog.

Some trainers will use aggression when training Schutzhund, but that will generally give you a dog that is not well balanced, and will not bite unless he sees a suit. But that is not always the case. And regardless the dog should not "look confused".

Here is a well balanced dog.

These people really know what they are doing.

If you get the chance google around a bit and watch the various videos out there. You will see that a good majority of the Schutzhund dogs are ready to bite the second they see the suit. Whereas a well trained protection dog does not key off of the suit.

And here is just a really cool video.

I really don't think you need to see any photos of me, but I'll show you one - just one, mind - anyway.

This one I took in my bedroom, which is why the light is sort of funny - and why I have such a goofy smile on my face.

Sorry it's so big, I don't know how to make it smaller.

Now, as we all seem to be posting pics of our beloved pets, I'll share with you a photo of my beloved cat, Grace.

I'm thinking the cat is cuter than me.

Well I think you have a very sweet face, you shouldn't be afraid of showing it.
I'm glad women post on here also, it balances the "gun chat" and "let's go blow up Iran".

Not that women can't like guns & war of course.
