The Smashing Pumpkins made a song about the year I was born... must have been something about that year.
I still have one more year (okay, more like a half year) to be in my twenties.

I will consider myself officially old when that Smashing Pumpkins song is played on the classic rock station.

And yet somehow I can't help liking his stuff.
He's actually a better guitarist than his choice in musical style would have you believe too.

My own bizarre double standard is that I can handle Billy Corgan's voice... but that guy from Our Lady Peace makes me want to rip my ear drums out (except in the song Starseed, where for some reason he doesn't suck).
That's one of those mysteries... like why I don't hate that song by the New Radicals...

And Herk guessed it.

I don't mind Billy's music. He's quite good. I just can't stand his voice. It's awful. Not Mariah Carey awful, but awful nonetheless.

I must be getting old. I took my first born to see the Pumpkins when he was 14 or so.

As I am the Elder Statesman here, I think I should venerated.I have cheese in the fridge with mould on it older than some of you!

Very soon I will pass into final phase of my tortured life known as "turnip time"

Mrs BLZ has already bought the rubber sheets.

When I sit on the toilet in the morning, my balls have dropped so far they swing about in the water like tea bags!

I dont care we are off to Athens tomorrow

As I understand it, it may be a different place than you remember.
You will not be expected to leave a customary sacrifice to Athena before entering the city.
