Don't let the hate get you down, you guys are the future and I'm proud that America has young adults who are politically involved.

That is one of the things that I can appreciate about Obama -- he brings a new generation of voters into the political process.
Sorry, but I can't rep you again or I would.

It was lowered to 18 because that was the age one became eligible for the draft. So, are you also of the opinion that the minimum age for the draft should be 30+...

Nice Obama2008! It sounds like you're getting some unique experiences and I hope you share it with us. I'm glad we have all ages here and no one should disrespect somebody for their age. In my experience of working with various people, I find there are many young people who act more mature than their elders. They certainly seem more open minded.

So don't ever let old people's bad attitudes get you down, especially about politics.

Thank you. And yes, sometimes when I speak with adults who are supposed to be more mature, I am concerned with how immature they act.

Nah, as long as you're old enough to get shot at, I say you can vote and drink ...at the same time even.

I know.

Maybe. Least then I would have confidence that those drafted had enough sense to realize wars not a game and will not end when they don't feel like it anymore

Political science? Really? Never would have guessed that.

Looks like you found your calling in life.

But, in politics, you will be bombarded with illogical and irrational arguments regarding your positions. Age is only the beginning (unfortunately). You need a thick skin to deal with it all. Good luck!

Ditto. Age does not equal maturity.
