So extremely right wing? George Bush has a 25% approval rating and Barack Obama is leading in the polls, but the majority here support Bush, and the anti-obama threads outnumber the anti-mccain threads probably 20-1. What's the deal?

Stick around. I think you'll find out that a lot less people support Bush than you think. What you're seeing isn't that the majority are pro-McCain. They're anti-Obama.

and maybe this country is more right-wing than you believe.

if you take out the wars, bush would have much higher ratings.

I don't like Bush's big government policies, his spending increases, his new and costly government programs, the Patriot Act, or the "compassionate conservatism," but compared to McCain and Obama, Bush is a beacon of light.
