Hello everyone

Hello all, I am only 14, but that doesn't matter. I have an opinion.

I believe in getting involved in the government, even if you are too young to vote, because you live in America, and you are allowed to have a say in what happens around you. What I hate, is people who say they don't really care about politics, and say they don't really have an opinion on who should be president, even if they are too young to vote. It is really stupid how many young americans and even some older Americans don't care about the political world, and don't even realize what they are gifted with through living in America. These people are on third base, but they didn't hit the triple. Then most people who have lived somewhere else in the world and come to America, they know what they are gifted with. They have been in places where maybe you don't have a say, or you are oppressed and you can't do anything about it. In America, you have the right to express your opinion about anything, and you are encouraged too, so why not take part in your world?

My main political opinions are that we should continue to fight the war in Iraq and Afghanistan, and that we are making good progress with war.

I also think that liberals in congress have screwed up the economy, not Bush.

And I am also against most environmentalists. I agree that we should protect the environment, but not be getting political about nature.

I also think that gas prices are capable of coming back down to a dollar a gallon. We have plenty of oil in our own country, but it is the liberal-environmentalists who make us buy oil from other countries like Canada and Mexico.

I also think that we should increase border patrol.

And I think the people should be involved, and the government should not be given all the power.

I know i am not too elaborate here, but I will write further on the proper places in the forum. These are just my main ideas. Please send me PM's to ask further Q's about my opinion.

A dollar a galleon is really stretching it. If you're 14, then I bet you can't remember gasoline ever being a dollar a galleon. Domestic drilling should still be allowed though (check out the link in my signature

) I can see that we will agree on lot's of stuff. Oh, and I'm only 17. It's nice to see another young person who cares about politics.
