Not provided a stable economy that produces new jobs. Those sad tax cuts didn't help either.

Default Bush and the economy

Let's hope that Bush is one of the umemployed after November. He's as clueless about the economy as his Daddy was, and we've had the same results from them both: recession and war with Iraq.

Default economy

I dont like Bush, but i must make a statement that may defend him. The president does not have direct control over the economy. Just like back in the mid to late 90s when the economy was robust, clinton didnt cause that to happen, he just did what he could to help the process, not hinder it. GW has indirect control over the economy, but in agreement, he has not dont anything to help foster economic growth.

Default economy

Hmmm...

Let's see now, Bush Sr. Presidency, we have recession, unemployment, budget deficit, war with Iraq.

Bush defeated, Clinton elected (twice), economy improves to best in decades, near total employment, budget SURPLUS, no major military conflicts.

Clinton can't run again, Bush Jr. elected, we have recession, unemployment, RECORD budget deficit, war with Iraq, etc., etc.

I believe I can detect a pattern here...

Bush inherited a bad economy. Bush inherited a depleted military. Bush inherited a skin and bones CIA. Bush inherited an attack on the USA because a certain "cigar misuser" had better things to do than to make sure our military was strong and that our Intelligence Community was well funded. Mr Clinton failed this country not George Bush. Just tell everyone that reads this what Mr. Clinton did after the first WTC attack? Nothing! What did he do after the second WTC attack? Nothing! What did he do after the Marine Barracks in Beirut were attacked? Nothing! How about the bombing of the USS Cole? Nothing! How about Cobault Towers? Nothing! HMMMM George Bush had 1 terrorist attack on his watch. He did something about it! Thank you Mr. President!!!

Whoa! I've heard Clinton blamed for a lot of things, but the attack on the Marine barracks in Beirut??? That was a few years BEFORE Clinton's time, 1983 to be exact. Ronald Reagan was President then, and he also did nothing about it.

So now after nearly 4 years of Bush's presidency, nothing is his fault and everything is Clinton's fault? By that logic, I guess his father inherited all his problems from his predecessor, Ronald Reagan?

If Bush inherited all the other things listed from the previous administration, he also inherited the intelligence data on Osama and Al quada, and he did nothing about it either, he was sitting in a class-room with a bunch of 2nd-graders when the first plane hit the WTC.

And his response to 9/11? He started out OK, by going after Osama and the Taliban. But that quickly changed when he decided to use this as an excuse to pursue his father's old nemisis, Sadam Hussein. Bush lied repeatedly about Iraq being awash in WMD's and being an imminent threat to us in order to take us into war and invade a country that had nothing to do with 9/11. This war so far has cost us over 500 American lives and thousands of wounded, untold BILLIONS of dollars, with no end in sight. Meanwhile, the man who actually planned and executed 9/11 is still out there planning more attacks against us.

So yeah, President Bush did something about the terrorist attack on his watch arlright, he invaded the WRONG country and got us into a mess that we'll be paying for with blood and money for a long time to come.

Default what are we to do?

You can blame anyone for the 9/11 attacks. It goes back hundreds of years with wars between the Muslims and Christians, The Battle of Tours, the Crusades, etc. The truth is, christians and muslims have fought over and over again through the years. We hope that one day it will stop and there will be a peace and understanding among all religions.
