Certainly, it's all down to the wording of the forthcoming Resolution but we might get an insight into the effectiveness of the bid by studying the reactions of the opposition. There is panic in the Knesset and dismay in Washington- which has resorted to open threats;

Nevertheless, the bid must proceed with caution and all advice heeded. Its major flaw is that it is proceeding without benefit of a referendum-generated mandate from the entire Palestinian nation. This isn't about putting a few Fatah members on chairs at the UN. It's about the rights of the Palestinian refugees to go home safely.

No there isnt, no one here even talks about it, what we are concerned with are the terror group/sin Sini - which Egypt is taking care of now and our internal demonstrations that we are about to re-start, also a very famous singer got arrested...long story....sure there is dissatisfaction from from one way declaration so the US and Israel try to warn from possible complications but its mainly the Pal choice

Thats a good example for a complication, they can be rational or irational about this, personally i hope it will turn out for the best but it wont if they declare Hifae etc' as destinations, i really hope they'll make good use of the new state should they get it.

Did the Zionists get permission from anybody before they declared the State of Israel and Independence, out of interest?

No, they went right ahead and declared their State , including territory which wasn't designated as ' Israel ' under UNGAR 181 from which they had ethnically cleansed the larger part of the indigenous inhabitants. For this they were called ' brave ' and ' plucky little Israel ' for sixty years.
