Israel attacked Egypt in an ambush.. Egyptian troops and equipment were deployed in Yemen at the time.. and Nasser had already notified the US and UN that he was ready to negotiate a resolution over the Straits of Tiran.

Read Moshe Dayan.. The Israelis planned the 1967 war beginning in 1953 to acquire more land and water.. The caveat was they had to provoke Syria, Egypt and Lebanon sufficiently to claim they were the victims of aggression.

There is more to real history than the canned Zionist version.
