Thread: NATO attack on Pakistani border crossing

  1. Default NATO attack on Pakistani border crossing

    From the New York Times:
"Pakistani officials said Saturday that NATO aircraft had killed at least 25 soldiers in strikes against two military posts at the northwestern border with Afghanistan, and the country’s supreme army commander called them unprovoked acts of aggression, in a new flash point between the United States and Pakistan."

It seems the U.S. government and NATO officials are showing remorse for this event. Unfortunately, this isn't an isolated incident. Last year, U.S. soldiers killed two Pakistani soldiers patrolling the border, and in 2008 a U.S. airstrike killed 11.

So, what are your thoughts on this? Is the U.S. military just incompetent, or can this be interpreted as aggression towards Pakistan?

No offence, but to suggest that the U.S government is ever sincere in their remorse in these situations is to suggest that they have a conscience, and that is absurd.

Well, I didn't mean to imply that they were sincere. They've made remorseful statements, but it is up to the individual to conclude whether or not the statements are sincere. I personally think the attacks were not simply an accident, and if this is the case, then clearly the apologies are insincere.

Well obviously the US has no remorse for its actions, because that suggests regret and regret would at least make you think the US would try harder in not killing civilians or committing unlawful killings left, right and centre. As we all know the US kill anything and everything (you just need a quick internet search), the army kills animals, abuses animals, insults children and kills civilians all day long.

The US always make "remorseful" comments, but they mean jack when they continue on the same path of imperialistic destruction of others.

What is most annoying is, do you think Iran, Israel, the UK, the US, Germany, France, Italy, China or Russia would allow someone to kill 24 of there soldiers for any reason, let alone no reason and not take ANY action? THE PAKISTAN GOVERNMENT CONTINUE TO BE COWARDLY TO THE US, yes they barred delivery through Pakistan, but how many Pakistanis must die before the government acts and attacks back to defend it's honour and it's people.

No country would stand for it, so why do Pakistan?

It's hard telling what actually happened. It could have simply been an epic error in judgement, or perhaps NATO had intelligence suggesting that these soldiers were harboring a target... or complicit somehow. I'm not trying to justify NATO, just saying who knows. The sooner we get the hell out of there the better.

Pakistan harbors terrorists and we should feel remorse? If they would stop protecting terrorists there would be no military strikes on their country

  7. Default

If any other country killed 2 US soldiers it would be an act of war.

What are talking about??? What terrorists??? Men in caves? Come on man, get your head out your TV!!

Do You have evidence on what terrorists you are talking about, except from your amazing bias news outlets, such as Fox. You keep living in fear of men with turbans who live in shanty towns coming to your house and blowing you up. Get Real.

The fact is, The USA and it's allies continue to kill and enslave thousands of people, and do not care. You're country was attacked on pearl harbour and you nuked TWO cities!!! Killing many many people, of which affects are still evident today.

You call men in caves "terrorists", the rest of the world calls you terrorists. Does that mean we have the right to come in to your country and kill innocent people everyday for the sake of "war on terror".

Open your eyes. Stop acting dumb and research from more than bias news outlets.
