So the problem isn't that crazy muslims are killing human beings because of a few burned korans, it's that we burned korans. That's just stupid. Muslims either need to get over the need to satisfy their bloodlust at every opportunity or they need to be forcibly converted to another religion. The world has no place for barbarism, and the fact that American liberals are so quick to blame Americans for pissing off Muslims shows how bad things are here. How about a few words against rioting burning and looting before blaming americans for burning books?

IMO the base commander should be replaced for being stupid. His error was in turning over the material to the locals for disposal. That's like giving the enemy your code books to shred. The books weren't accidently burned; they were intended to have been burned. There's nothing wrong with that except the fool gave the job to the locals instead of having his own troops do it in a secure location.

One simply cannot 'Intentionally' do anything through ignorance. I do not advocate insensitivity but also do not get indignant over religious insensitivity toward the one religion in the world that routinely responds to insensitivity with violence. If the Taliban had a mass burning of Bibles or the Torah, the response from our PC friends would be, 'so what, it is what they do'..
