Thread: GAME OVER - China will be twice as superpowerful as USA by 2035

  1. Default GAME OVER - China will be twice as superpowerful as USA by 2035

It's all over, people. America's days of being #1 have come to an end
and by 2035 China will be twice as big an economy as the Yanks.

I won't post the Youtubes about it, but I will ask everyone on this forum
to be considerate and not laugh at America for blowing the lead they had.
It's like if America had a forty point lead half way through the fourth quarter - AND LOST.

The world is going to be a different place. No more illegal wars in the middle east, because
China will be making business deals with countries like Iran and Libya for oil.

China will conquer the world - economically. Their army will be for peaceful purposes.

Oii. What will America do then?

I have yet to see any country conquer the world and then be about peaceful purposes other than the peace required to maintain their advantage in being world conquerers.
The best route to world peace I can see is a spread of power between several major players including the United States.

    Bring on the tied game!

I wouldn't do any victory laps yet. China's got big problems. Why do they build giant cities that don't even have people in them?

That is not the sign of a healthy economy.

China is the new Japan. It will collapse in on itself within 10 years.

You can't trust such prognostications. I mean, 2035? Seriously? Come on. We'll have wiped ourselves out in nuclear armageddon by then.

    Oh, and I expect you're , right?

That's really wild.. I wonder if they'd let Americans move over and populate those spots?

"Balance of Power" politics is directly what led to World Wars I and II.

The only hope for a world even half as peaceful as everyone hopes is for a single hegemon to exist and impose its will.

Anti-american bastards will find out that if thier dream of a Chinese hegemony comes true, they'll regret it.

The U.S. Economy is three times larger than the Chinese in GDP. 22.5% of all global FDI is from the U.S, whereas only 4.4% is from China.

More importantly, the U.S. has the lone global Blue Water Navy. At any point in time, the flow of critical supplies could be cut off. With 70% of China's oil being secured from the Middle East, their vulnerabilities have been referred to as the "Malacca Dilemma" and the String of Pearls Strategy is being developed.

The United States sits on top of the critical hydrocarbon routes and thus controls the flow of goods. The Chinese have recently had an environmental embargo placed on their goods to Europe (Bisphemenol A). Access to the American market is going to be more precarious in the future.

The major issue will ultimately be the emergence of Mexico. With extensive natural resources and abundant labor, Mexican labor is now infect cheaper than the Chinese.

China is far from the threat many make them out to be. The real threat would be the development of a viable working relationship between Russia and Germany. Imagine if Germany could benefit from Russia's labor supply and natural resource base. And imagine if Russia could benefit from Germany's technological innovation?
