What about the Oklahoma bombing and Timothy McVay, that could've been used for something? What actions were followed by the US government to prevent any further situations? Was any measure taken back then?

What about Kennedy's assassination? Why wasn't that linked to cuban communist operatives to legitimate an US invasion on Cuba? That would've been handy.

What does the US government gains from introducing exhaustive pat downs on airport passengers and x-ray scans? Is there a special interest by the x-ray scanners manufacturers?

Regarding the underwear bomber II, i don't think the bomb was sophisticated at all, and from what i heard, and i could be mistaken, the bomb was the exact opposite. So simple it would not be detected by the scanners, much like the landmines used by the talibans in Afghanistan, which bypass the metal detectors used by anti mine brigades, since they're just some simple explosive and two wood boards that once pressured trigger and all that.

About the Israeli agents, were they witnessing the event before the first plane hit the tower?

The Taliban offered him? Do you have any links to support that claim? I've heard the exact opposite several times, the taliban being known for their hospitality wouldn't jeopardize they're reputation as good hosts.

But Al Qaeda is not just Bin Laden, the talibans would've a need a better offer than handing Bin Laden to international court. Afghan under Taliban regime and alongside Al Qaeda turn Afghanistan into a terrorist camp and breeding ground. In order for an event such as 9/11 to never happen again those conditions and capabilities had to be neutralized.

Reason Al Qaeda and Bin Laden stopped being such a dangerous man/organiztion was because he was pretty much incapable of conducting any plans for further attacks for the simple reason that he was more occupied with his own survival, not much a terrorist can do when they're more worried about living than taking lives.

Personally I would love if my flat was installed with the latest AA missile systems....
