How about when a large group of Taliban and Al-Qaeda fighters were cornered in the city of Kunduz, Afghanistan. What did the USA do? instead of move in and finish the fight, they sanctioned the airlift and EVACUATION of the Taliban and Al-Qaeda fighters to safety, with Pakistani air craft.

How about when the Taliban offered to give the USA Bin Laden after the 9/11 attacks and Bush said "No"

How about Patrick Kennedy's admission that the underwear bomber, who had ties with Awlaki, was allowed on the plane WITH the defective bomb, NO VISA, NO PASSPORT, by an unnamed US intelligence agency? - of course they scared the public, and introduced body scanners...EVEN though, he was ALLOWED on the plane.

Can't you see that Al-Qaeda is a CIA/FBI asset? always have been...they continue to scare you with the bogeyman, yet arm and protect them in Libya and Syria, that's your government for you. Laughable indeed Mandrake, laughable.

Talk about the ultimate NIMBY (not in my back yard) issue! The same sort of logic applies to this as it does to halfway houses and drug treatment centers - weigh the public good and the necessity of the location versus the potential threat to nearby residents. Obviously in this case the ability to shoot down aerial terrorist threats to Olympic venues outweighed a slightly higher danger level to the Nimby apartment dwellers.

Having a surface to air missle battery is definitely a property improvement and the landlords could easily double tenant's rent for putting in such a cool security improvement. It's like adding an indoor pool or a private dog park, only better.

This will go one of two ways...

1) Over the next week or so, we will see an increase in the number of 'terror plots foiled', or 'police finding suspect items', and other vague stuff. Later on, it will prove to be as reliable and sound, as all the BS stories that were fed out, about 11 yrs ago. This may include a BIG STORY....'BRITISH INTELLIGENCE FOIL MASS TERROR PLOT'. Detail will be scant, or if it is given, it will sound about as plausible as they underground planets, that Rumsfeld said were all over the world! There will be murmerings and 'leaks' of a 'group', which will vaguely be linked to 'Tehran'.

2) Or....in the next week or onward, there will be a false flag op, of some degree. G4S had the contract to ferry prisoners around...they kept escaping. There are already glaring gaps in the security(somehow?).

Look.

If either 1 or 2 do happen, people ain't totally STOOPID, we ain't buying the same storyline, over and over anymore.

A group of residents in East London fear for their safety after authorities ruled in favor of transforming their peaceful apartment building into a weaponry site.

Council tenants at the Fred Wigg Tower have lost a High Court battle to stop surface-to-air missiles from being stationed on the roof of their 17-story building during the Olympics.

Residents were appalled to hear that the British government was willing to go to such extreme lengths to protect the Olympic venues.

“If it's going to affect our children, our own safety, our security, then there's a potential for people who are evil-minded who may sabotage the situation. I’m a father of young children, so I have reservations about having missiles placed here,” said one tenant to ABC Radio.

A judge ruled on Tuesday that tenants did not have a case to argue, despite their concerns that the weapons could make the building the target of a terrorist attack.


The Ministry of Defense says the placement of the missiles is both “legitimate and proportionate,” and that they pose no credible threat to civilians.

Residents applied for judicial review on the grounds that their human rights were violated – claiming they were not properly consulted over the proposals for the defense system.

The tenants’ lawyers argued that concerned occupants should be relocated during the Olympics, or that a gantry should be built away from the block to host the missile system.

However, the court justice ruled that “the law and the facts militate against the claim for judicial review.”

The UK government plans on stationing missiles in six locations throughout London.
