Default Iraq near chaos?!

Republican Senator Lindsey Graham said Iraq is near chaos.... well that really helps us republicans for the November elections... Seriously what was this woman thinking when she said that. Even if we didn't have control of it ( im not saying we do or we don't ) you shouldn't be saying negative things towards your own party.

thank you

This category has some requirements. They are:
1. The original post must contain something about a breaking news story
2. The original post must contain a link to that news story

You may add your thoughts and/or opinions to that, but only after satisfying the requirements of Political Forum's policies. This is a practice put in place out of courtesy to the users. If you're new to this Forum, please learn how it is run BEFORE posting.

Personal insults are against Political Forum's established rules. The users of this forum may engage in heated debate, yet no one should insult another personally. Feel free to insult their political leaders, their ideas, their ideology, etc... only don't insult other users directly by calling them names.

Let's discuss your credibility, based on this post, shall we? That's what I am talking about. But if you're an ignoramus-in-training and not the real thing, I can excuse your ignorance on Graham. (Call it your training wheels days.)

If you don't care who the pol is, AND YOU ADMIT YOU DON'T, then don't comment on that pol.

Anything else is ignorance. Just like undeservedly claiming credibility.

I won't bet you my skin is thicker than yours. You'd lose.

Default .

There's this politician whose name I can't remember whom I don't care about and admit it, who mighta done something I didn't like, but since I don't care about the first part, nobody else should care what I believe since I did so great setting up the issue......

This is a gift that keeps on giving.

Default doesn't know how to respond

Quiller can't repsond to this news because Rove hasn't come out with the spin yet so attacking the post is all there is.

Lindsey will come out to tomorrow to "clarify" his remarks.

What info? All you did was post your thoughts. We need something more than that to go on.

If you're interested in REAL debate, you'll have to try a bit harder. First, we need to have a source of what you're commenting on... like a news story, a speech, etc...

Next, you'll really need to drop the chip on your shoulder and brace yourself for others who will disagree with you. You can bank on the fact that with the different people on Political Forum visiting every day, there's going to be someone who will disagree with you.

Also, how you frame your thoughts and the way you communicate them has a lot to do with the way you're percieved here. Style, spelling, grammar, your choice of vocabulary, your sense of humor, etc... all of it counts. This is the real world, not a classroom.

Finally, I suggest you read other user's posts in order to find out who may or may not be "on your side" so as to avoid attacking a potential friend or supporter. In your first post, you used the words "us republicans." If you're a republican, do you think there may be other republicans who might agree with you? Do you know who they are? Don't you think it would be a good idea to find out who they are?

Now... back on topic:

You mentioned Senator Lindsey Graham's comments. Where did you hear about them? Can you find a source that we can read what you're talking about? What made you decide to post your thoughts on them? Don't you think his comments about Iraq being near chaos are accurate? If so, would you rather he lied about it in order to win an election? If not, why is it that his comments make you feel as though he's not accurate?

Default hmmmmmm

"Where did you hear about them? Can you find a source that we can read what you're talking about?"

judging from a previous post, he doesn't need to have his point match the link anyway.
