Boy George.... isn't that that one foolish clown who tripped over his own feet and stabbed himself to death with his own dagger in the 3rd century?

Not really....as 911 was clearly a false flag attack.

Being from Alabama...I can promise you people wouldn't go on killing sprees if a couple bibles were burned by accident..

Iran having nuclear warheads and burning Koreans are two completely differnet issues..

Burning Korans is horrible, not just for the religious perspective. Anyone burning books is an idiot.

With iran, if and when they finish their nuclear project (dependant on the russians completion of the nuclear reactors/technology) they will be amongst an elite group of nations who have the bomb.

And since nuclear weapons have not been used for several decades, since the americans used it in japan then it is not a concern. What is a greater concern is the fear, propoganda and brainwashing of so many which is a bad reminder and a repeat of the iraq mess we all remember.

Also, while the media obsesses over afghan and iran (nuclear projects) the russian tech goes un-noticed. If read the russian part of this forum, they have created tech missles to counter act usa stealth and their own bomber aircraft can bomb anywhere on earth. Add to that the usa military lunacy. The iran view to weapons is moderate.

Apparently, the clothes and personal possessions of dead insurgents were dumped in a skip and burned at the Bagram military base, WITHOUT BOTHERING TO SEPARATE OUT THE KORANS that some insurgents were carrying. The U.S. military can say this was an "inadvertent mistake" but if American personnel had found bibles on dead insurgents in some third world nation they would have taken them out of the "to burn" pile. The subsequent rioting has already seen foreigners beaten (almost all non-American) and at least six Afghan civilians killed.

Given that the Arabic Koran is seen as the literal "word of God", burning a Koran is actually worse than burning a bible (more like burning a bible in church) and your average Afghan is a pretty backward guy to begin with. As of now, the name "American" is now synonymous with "Christian s - - t" in Afghanistan and we will NEVER be able to change it back. Let's get out now, before the Taliban recruitment drive that's probably already started is finished and we find ourselves with greatly increased casualty rates.
So....let me get this straight. Some paper was burned.....because that's what the books were printed on; paper.....and our president apologizes for the mistake! BUT because of it....some Taliban barbarian walks right into a so-called secure building and murder two of our top guys....a Colonel and a Major, point blank execution style.....and it's OUR fault???? That's pure BS!! Don't EVER try to tell me again that Islam is a religion of peace.

And I sure as heck hope our president has learned a lesson here: that trying to negotiate with the Taliban is like trying to negotiate with Hitler and his Nazi goons. They cannot be trusted as far as you can throw them. Find their nests and clean 'em out!!

Now, adding in the fact that such an act is MORE offensive to a Muslim, imagine the stuff being placed in an old church and then burning everything. That's why the Afghans are upset.
This was the Taliban. Are you saying they represent the average Afghan? Are you claiming the average Afghan supports the summary execution of two high-ranking Officers over some burned Qurans???? Are you defending what they did? Because it sure sounds like it.

I don't see any outrage from the Afghans over that..

If you had foriegners in your country disrepecting your nation, would you be so kind?

Easy to judge, but nationalism mixed with religious fury can be chaotic.
