Maybe you should address the topic of the thread rather than attacking other members of the forum.

My comment, although flippant, was directed at a politician.

My comment, although flippant, was directed at Swedes. I am sorry if you took offense to it. I was talking about the entire Swedish population. Rove will walk and he has no worries because my man GW will pardon him.

The topic under discussion was Rove. You injected Bush into it by stating that he would pardon Rove.

How did the "entire Swedish population" become a target for your ridicule?

Unfortunately Mas Tequillas probably right. Rove's got an in. He'll probably be pardoned.

Instead of addressing the important issue of the abuse of executive privilege by the Bush administration, Tequillas decided to say that Bush will pardon Rove. If that's the case, then why doesn't Rove just go ahead and testify under oath? He has nothing to fear.

It is interesting that, in an attempt to defend Rove/Bush, Tequillas just confirmed the low regard that the president has for the rule of law.

I would have to agree that the Bush administration DOES abuse executive privileges and in abusing them Bush will probably pardon Rove as he did Libby. It's sad and it's ridiculous but we knew he was doing it when we reelected him (not that we had any other choice anyway). He has said repeatedly that he will do what he thinks is right and only what he thinks is right. This is not what the role of the president should be about. He should be doing what the people think is right, except in extraordinary cases.
