The problem with these people is they are not reasonable. Thus applying reason to calculate solutions around them is counterproductive; the best one can hope for under such circumstances is disappointment.

Perhaps not. I won't claim to be an expert on the sociology of Iran. My impression is they are rather not fond of the Israelis.

But that said it doesn't neccesarily matter. Barring revolution they cannot change their government in the way we can. Sort of like if Bush was in office forever and we got to vote for which of his vice president picks actually could take office. And the people aren't the ones who declare war or authorize weapon launches at any rate.

Now if it was something other than nukes I might be tempted to see if they can enact gradual change over time. But nukes are what the issue is.

And the first post in this thread essentially means that unless Iran backs down we will go to war. Because I can't believe Israel will allow Iran to go nuclear. And if Israel attacks Iran will hit the US. Therefore unless we want to get hit with our pants down the US is forced to pre-emptivley attack.
