The Israeli Zionist regime has released Palestinian female parliamentarian Mariam Saleh after seven months of captivity, her husband said.
The mother of seven, Saleh was captured in Bireh, near West Bank city of Ramallah in November and was sent to Hasharon prison north of Tel Aviv, her husband, Nazmi Abed Majid said.

Majid said she was released without any explanation. He said Saleh was kept under administrative detention, a system which keeps the suspects in custody for six months, a jail term that can be extended.

A top Zionist official whose name has been withheld said Saleh's freedom was "significant progress" toward a possible truce with Hamas, although the talks will exclude the freedom of a captured Israeli soldier.

Gilad Shalit, 21, was captured almost two years ago in a raid by three militant groups, including the armed wing of Hamas.

Hamas leader Mahmoud Zahar said that a truce can come into effect in less than two weeks, but Shalit's freedom would be off the table and the issue would be dealt with only in a prisoner exchange.

The Zionist regime is holding 10,000 Palestinians.

Bushfans assertion that the US military do not deliberately target innocent civilians is of course a complete nonsense as Sunni Man pointed out. But even if we were to take that claim at face value, the reality is that the law of unintended consequences means that so called surgical or targetted strikes inevitably result in the deaths of innocent civilians irrespective of the alleged intention. I hereby draw upon the analogy of the drunk driver driving wrecklessly through a crowded civilian area, to illustrate my point further: Although it may not be the intention of the drunk driver to kill innocent people as a result of his wreckless driving, the inevitable consequence of his actions nevertheless results in the deaths of innocent people. You see, what the apologists for the killing of innocent men, women and children in other people's countries like Bushfan fail to grasp, is that US-Israeli bombs and bullets are not neceassarily in a position to be able to discriminate between 'terrorists' and the 'non-terrorists'.
