They shot and wounded the "terrorist" (a badly overused term, by the way). And the "shot while he slept" is a claim by the boy's family. Why do you accept unverified claims by relatives as fact?
And even if it were true.... what would that prove? Do you know the circumstances under which he was shot? What if the guy they wanted was in the room, firing at U.S. troops? What if the kid, hearing shots, woke up and grabbed his weapon to defend himself? What would you expect the soldiers to do, other than be omniscient and all-powerful?
