This is a common mistake made by the ignorant - It is a UNION - it is not a matter of Scotland living under "British rule" (by which I suspect you meant to say "English rule")

Within the UNION Scots take many leading roles,for example our current Prime Minister (Gordon Brown) and half of the current UK Government cabinet are made up of Scots!

In fact there are many English that moan that their Country is rule by Scots - so now you can see your mistake

Don't sell Putin short. He's got more mentality in his left buttock than Bush has in his whole body. He's got more mentality than Daddy Bush and Cheney put together, too, as we have seen. Make no mistake: Russia is in the driver's seat. Our nervous European "allies" don't cook their food, heat their rooms, or light their homes a night without copious amounts of energy from Russia.

Putin may choose to clean house right now, cleansing his country's "elite" of the clot of criminals who rose to wealth and prominence after the downfall of the USSR. And he will emerge ever stronger and more powerful, mostly because the man has a brain to think with, uncluttered with any concern for what his "credit score" is. Sad to see how many people in the USA are obsessed with little else, since they live their wretched lives on borrowed money.
