The troops left are still in harms way. This is not the promise Obama made to the voters. I supported him because he was not McCain and no one else had a chance to win. It is time to get out. Today is the time. 16 months is the time.
Inferno is correct, he promised we'd leave in 16 months the first time, then it changed and changed again, no it's nothing like what he promised to get elected, SUCKERS.

Obama is now Cammander In Chief, he has to think like one.

The US can not leave a job undone, and it would appear Obama, despite some mighty fine scripts playing to the peace at any price party has as President understood this rock solid fact of geo-political power.

I knew from before the election that it isn't policy to leave no matter what the lying shoeshine boy said to get elected. Hell, I made money on this one, $2200 bucks. haha.

Terrorist groups have always existed in Iraq. Read its history, it has gone thru numerous coups. Saddam used terrorist cells within Iraq to quell uprisings and kill political opponents or disenters. Were any of these terrorist a threat to America, probably not. If you are only to base the reasoning for war in Iraq on Terrorists and WMD's you would be right. It was a silly thing to do. But what you do is conviniently dismiss the other reasons we went to war there, which are the reasons I believe we are right to be there. Without WMD's and Terrorists, I would have still approved of the war in Iraq. It was the intention's of Saddam that pushed my opinion over the edge in supporting the decision to go to war. If he was another Chavez, with hollow threats, I would have paid no mind. However, Saddam had invaded 2 countries and had WMD's in the 80's and used them. So the intention was there. Allowing him to exist in the middle east was only asking for trouble in the future.
