And there's really nothing that anybody could do about it unless I've overstayed my welcome or was found suspicious of loitering or something.

That's certainly nothing that warrants a felony charge. So I'd suggest that you tell me what grounds you have to vilify this guy for an attempted felony when so far he doesn't appear to be guilty of anything that severe.

Libs should just keep their heads like some conservatives are and stop making up stories when they don't have all the facts:

"This is neither a time to joke nor a time to recklessly accuse Democrats/liberals of setting this up," Michelle Malkin wrote. "Let it be a lesson to aspiring young conservatives interested in investigative journalism: Know your limits. Know the law. Don't get carried away. And don't become what you are targeting."

Yeah, right. I'm just sure it's some vast right-wing conspiracy to get Landrieu.

Hey, don't we already know she took a bribe for her vote? Seems like such a waste to engage in a felony for this.

Good for her!!!

Which libs are making up stories? I see cons speculating about Sen Diaper, former Gov Blanco, Mayor Nagin, and more!

Re: Michelle Malkin - nice to see the restraint. Funny she doesn't show that when it's NOT a conservative doing the perp walk.

A bribe? You mean completely legal legislative deal to benefit her constituents?

But, it probably IS some vast right-wing conspiracy to get Landrieu. She's got a spaghetti spine. They probably figured they could try to get some dirt on her, threaten her, and she'd fold.

That sounds entirely plausible - for all parties involved!

I don't know paco. Did you ascertain O'Keefe's garb at the time of the arrest? If you did, I'd certainly be interested in the info! Only two doods have been reported to be wearing the village people outfits. If you have more info, do post it !!!!

And ... nothing to warrant a felony charge? Is that like where you compare some dood in his living room spouting off his opinion to an expert in advanced mathematics and statistical modeling?

Cuz there's a whole, like you know, federal affadavit by the FBI outlining the grounds for felony charges (link posted in this thread multiple times! Google or Bing if you prefer your own search!). Whatchoo got, paco? This being a debate board, you know, and actual debate arguments would be in order.

This should be good.

I'm betting on Karl Rove. This story has little turdblossoms sticking out all over!

This should be good.

Federal affidavits, investigations, etc. are prone to being botched. Pardon me for not having much faith in the FBI, especially after what happened to us up here recently with Senator Ted Stevens. I'm sure you've heard of that fine example of FBI competence:

Senator Charged With Lying About Gifts

US government drops case against Alaska senator Ted Stevens
