Police Arrest 7-Year-Old on Dirt Bike

"Police arrested a 7-year-old boy, handcuffed him and hauled him down to the station house on a charge of riding a motorized dirt bike on a sidewalk. Kikisa Dinkins said her son was sitting on the bike with the motor off on the sidewalk when an officer grabbed him by the collar and pulled him off."

I'd probably be mad too if I were the Mother. However, I'm betting the boy has been told and warned many times before and just ignored the police. And it doesn't sound like his Mother was doing a good job at keeping up with him either. They were probably just trying to teach him a little respect.

For all you or I know he had been repeatedly driving his dirt bike down the sidewalk.

Is a 7 year old old enough to be given the resposibility to run a motorized bike ? I don't beleive that the average 7 year old has the maturity to do such.

When I was 7 and it snowed we'd strap a rope and a sled to the back of our motorbikes and zip down the roads:P)
